Tutoring review by Austin in Haskell, OK
The student and I covered inverting functions and determining when a function's inverse relation is not a function. He was already adept with most of the skills and we spent more time figuring out what word problems were expecting in terms of how to apply those skills.

Tutoring review by Robert in Haskell, OK
We reviewed logarithms and exponential functions. At first, the student struggled with some logarithm properties. We sorted that out. She struggled with plotting the parent graphs of exponents and logarithms. I offered a logical approach rather than memorizing the plot. It helped. She feels much more comfortable with logarithms and exponential functions.

Tutoring review by Hadiya in Haskell, OK
The student had a practice quiz and a review sheet to complete. We began with the practice quiz. It covered finding out if two lines are parallel or perpendicular. I explained that in order for two lines to be parallel, they have to have the same slope. For the lines to be perpendicular, the slopes will create -1 when multiplied. We worked through those problems, with reminders of what a negative reciprocal is. The review sheet covered the entire chapter. Some sections, like graphing an inequality on a line, were easy for him.

Tutoring review by Toni in Haskell, OK
Today was a review day focused mainly on verifying trig identities. Solving trig identities is all about recognizing one or two "tricks" in rewriting an equation. In the beginning, the client felt uncertain but by the end he was seeing the solutions readily after one step.

Tutoring review by Gabrielle in Haskell, OK
We spent the first half of today's session by reviewing the student's practice math problems. She was able to complete the majority of these problems on her own, and we only needed to review a few together. We spent the remainder of the session introducing new concepts with decimals and percentages, and we also began reviewing exponent rules. For homework for next week, she is going to do one or both essay prompts and 2 Review math sections to start approximating the real GRE math questions more closely.

I reviewed with the student her upcoming assignments and we prioritized subjects for the upcoming week. We went over World History readings on Islamic civilization and pulled out key terms and definitions from class notes. The student entered vocabulary into her online flashcards, and she reviewed and mastered 11 of those words. She displayed a positive attitude.
