What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Introduce myself and share a little of my background as a teacher. Learn about the new student-- what their concerns and needs are after speaking with the student and/or parents. Then, plan strategies to support them, including suggested resources and materials. Finally, set up a schedule and place to meet for tutoring sessions.
