Certified Tutor

I am a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of South Florida. I enjoyed all of engineering and science classes, but my favorite subject has always been math. Many people have the exact opposite feeling about math, which is why it is my favorite subject to tutor! The problem solving and critical thinking skills that we use in math are applicable in all areas of education, and life for that matter. It's important to know the concepts necessary to solve the problem, not just the answer to the one problem in front of you. When I am tutoring a student, I endeavor to help them use what they already know to solve the problem, step by step. Usually the student knows more than they think, they just need to learn how to use it!
