Certified Tutor

I am a second year doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Arizona. I received my B.S. degree in psychology with a minor in biology, with a focus on neuroscience and biomedical science from Northern Arizona University.

As long as I can remember, I have had a love for teaching. In elementary school I would come home in the afternoon and 'play school' with my stuffed animals, creating and grading worksheets for them. Throughout school, I continued to take every opportunity to assist friends and classmates.

Now, in graduate school, I have had the opportunity for training in teaching strategies and philosophy, as well as hands-on work assistant teaching undergraduate psychology courses.

I find that I am best at teaching test taking strategies, particularly for the SAT and GRE, and I excel at English focused tasks.

Apart from teaching, I have 3 dogs and 4 cats, a flourishing desert garden, and am mastering Shaolin Kung Fu alongside my wonderful fiance.
