Sabrina
Certified Tutor
My name is Sabrina Rangi and I am a soon to be graduate from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. In July, I will start residency at Cleveland Clinic where I will be training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I graduated from Yale University where I received a B.A. with distinction in History of Science, Medicine and Public Health and completed all required pre-medical course work. I have a wealth of experience when it comes to tutoring as well as utilizing tutors myself. I spent two years teaching both private and class-room based instruction for the MCAT through Examkrackers and Varsity Tutors. Recently, I have private tutored students in USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. I scored in the 88th percentile on Step 1 and 99th percentile for Step 2. One of my favorite tutoring moments is when one of my students scored in the 99th percentile on their MCAT. I describe myself as resilient, patient and flexible. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals each step of the way!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My learning philosophy is that learning is dynamic! It requires collaboration between the student, teacher, mentor and parents!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
In the first session, I determine what my student's goals are - short-term, long-term, academically and personally. Then, we will work together to make a realistic plan to achieve those goals.
