I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech and a M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from UC San Diego. In addition to 10 years of working as an engineer, I have 3 years' experience as a teaching assistant, instructing students from Pre-K to 12th grade at a Kumon Learning Center and in undergraduate lab classes at UCSD. My favorite subject to teach is physics, as I'm fascinated by how the everyday things around us work. In addition to tutoring a variety of other subjects, including math and reading, I can help with college and graduate admissions and standardized test prep.

Whether during my time as an engineer or working with students, I've always enjoyed teaching, training, and mentoring others. I get excited when they grow in their skills, understanding, and even enthusiasm, particularly if it's in a STEM topic. I help students learn in ways that engage their interest and suit their learning styles, such as with games or visuals, while building their confidence as problem-solvers by directing them in thinking critically and creatively.

Outside of teaching academics, I'm a rock climbing coach and an avid climber myself, traveling to crags whenever I can. In the rest of my free time, I like to write stories and construct elaborate things out of paper.
