The ACT is a comprehensive standardized test that consists of four sections along with an optional Writing section. The four required sections of the ACT are Math, Reading, English, and Science. Other information you that can be helpful to know is that there are several testing dates per year in the U.S. Every test begins at 8:00 AM, meaning you will be dismissed around 12:35 PM for the ACT, and around 1:35 PM if you opt to take the ACT Plus Writing. You are only allowed to use a #2 pencil to answer questions, and it is important that you answer all of the questions, guessing is not penalized.
