You might be surprised by the benefits you can enjoy when you spend valuable time studying alongside a skilled tutor for students in Arlington. Whether you are attending a school like Strayer University and hope to get the test prep help you need as you study for the LSAT or you want to get your early learner on the right track with their reading skills, working with a personal instructor can make a big difference.

Did you know that studies have found that students who learn alongside private teachers earn higher grades and better scores than they would if studying on their own? It's true! Among the many reasons that learners enjoy improved academic results when taking part in tutoring for students in Arlington is the instructor's use of a lesson plan that is tailored to the student's educational needs. The educator is able to provide ongoing progress reports and answer their student's questions in real-time. They can work with your middle schooler whether they're struggling with their science project or feel good about their math knowledge and simply want to go over real-life examples of probability. Taking part in tutoring sessions is great for all K-12 students as well as college students, hobbyists, professionals, and more.

How much does Varsity Tutors cost for students in Arlington?

The amount you pay to study with a personal educator can depend on the specifics of your tutoring circumstance. You might want to get better acquainted with concepts covered on the GMAT.

What you pay for these sessions could differ from the amount you could pay if your 11th grader attending Yorktown High School wants help preparing for the ACT. If your student in the 4th grade needs numerous sessions over an entire term to enhance their writing skills, you could pay a lower rate per session than if your student meets with their teacher only a few times. Feel free to reach out to our Educational Directors to learn more about pricing.

We covered logarithmic functions, and how they are inversely related to exponential functions. I showed him the process to handing equations with variable in the exponent by using logarithmic reduction, and using basic log identities.

Tutoring review by Walter in Arlington, TN
The student worked on his final rough draft on 1984. He seems to really understand the thesis driven argument essay now. All he still needs to do is work on his actual writing and pay more attention to details. He also continues to make progress on the SAT reading and writing sections. Next week he will revise his 1984 essay, write an SAT essay, and continue to practice.

Tutoring review by Jacquelyn in Arlington, TN
The student and I had a fun learning hour together while her sister drew on the floor, listening to every word when she wasn't telling me all about her stuff. She has a very good vocabulary for a three-year-old. The student and I put the finishing touches on the game board until I told her to leave it to me so she could write her words on the cards. So it was the same activity as last time only she was planning ahead for writing down the rules and finding "bigger" words to write. I'm expecting us to actually play this game sometime next week.

I specifically covered the verbal homework with the student. He is definitely improving significantly as now he is in the low 90s which is exactly where I wanted him at. I look forward to our last session and have assigned him homework accordingly.

Tutoring review by Monica in Arlington, TN
The student did ok on her vocabulary quiz on Thursday but she's still pretty concerned about her test on chapter three next Wednesday. We began the session by doing an activity to review subjects and subject pronouns and her ability to recall and translate was much improved from the beginning of our last session. We then moved on to the verb "ser" (to be) and adjectives wherein I used TPRS (Total Physical Response Storytelling) to describe pictures and ask questions. In this way we used comprehensible input to add vocabulary to her memory bank. Finally we reviewed -er, -ir, and -ar verb conjugations and I modeled how she can use a variety of resources and games to get the practice she needs to read, write, listen to and verbally create sentences for all of the subject pronouns. We also made a list of the verbs in the game to facilitate her playing them and I was impressed with how many of words she already knew; she's obviously been working very hard.

The student worked on her homework. She was a little unsure on what the directions were asking. Also, we looked over her mistakes that she had made in her previous exam. She feels confident and ready for her class. It is easy for her to make simple mistakes, but she is getting better at being more detailed.
