Tutoring review by Liban in Mile Square, IN
We went over matched pairs testing. I first showed him how to interpret related questions and how to extract the necessary information for the test. We then reviewed how to perform the test by hand. We then applied the same concepts and went over how to do the same actions on his stat program. After the student felt comfortable with the motions of performing the test, I then explained to him how to interpret the results of said test. We then went over several practice problems to cement the lessons reviewed in the session.

Tutoring review by Daniel in Mile Square, IN
This was our first session of the school year after summer break. The student is now in advanced algebra and currently just going over review sheets of factoring and solving quadratic equations. Although he had forgotten a bit, which is understandable, after working through a problem with him, he caught on and remembered right away. He seems to have matured a bit as well and was pretty focused throughout the session. He had brought home about 7 sheets of review/ practice, so he solved a handful on each page. We finished with some imaginary numbers questions, which he also solved pretty well. He seemed confident for his exam tomorrow, so hopefully he will do well.

Today, the student and I went through her planner and evaluated her schedule for the rest of the week. We reviewed geography again today. She is doing much better with this and her scores on the geography online tests continue to improve. We also went over a creative writing assignment she is doing in class. Overall, it was quite good and had few errors. She seemed proud of the work and I thought that she also seemed to have enjoyed writing it. We also set goals for using some online games to study Spanish.

Today we worked on Section 3.6 focusing on the limits at infinity. The student worked through all the homework assigned which included exercises from the book, as well as a worksheet. The worksheet was more on the previous section with a heavy concentration on word problems. He did well overall. In areas where he had a little hesitation on how to begin, he was able to finish strong after a bit of guidance. He has an exam next week and his final about 2 weeks after the exam.

Tutoring review by Jan in Mile Square, IN
The student is working on learning independent and dependent t-tests. We went over the examples she was able to find in her book. As always, it was difficult to identify the connection between specific chapter sections and lectures. Despite this, we were able to work on several types of problems, and she seemed to gain a clearer understanding.

Tutoring review by Charles in Mile Square, IN
We focused on the student's latest unit that melds algebraic equations and the proofs he learned earlier in the year. This means translating equalities into basic X/Y equations. I told him which sections to review and to go over his old test answers and solve them again.
