All SSAT Middle Level Math Resources
If your child will be taking the SSAT Middle Level test soon, then you may be wondering what he or she will encounter on the Math portion, which is called the Quantitative section. The Quantitative portion of the test is actually split up in half, and your child will complete half of the questions early in the testing period and the other half later in the period. Each smaller math section contains 25 math questions that your child must answer in 30 minutes. Since it is the second largest portion of the test, and it is created to be challenging, it is important to encourage your child to study, so they can feel confident on test day.
To make preparing for this section of such an important test easier, Varsity Tutors' Learning Tools offers several SSAT Middle Level Math study help activities, including free flashcards online. The SSAT Middle Level Math flashcards offer a great way for your child to squeeze in short study sessions throughout the day whenever they have access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone. That means they can study when on-the-go, like during their ride to school, during study hall, or any time they have a few extra minutes to spare.
The SSAT Middle Level Math study flashcards cover many important math concepts and topics that are closely related to the questions your child may soon be facing on the SSAT. The full deck of flashcards contains thousands of math questions covering various math topics your child can study, but the larger deck is also broken up into many smaller decks of SSAT Middle Level Math flashcards that each cover a specific math concept.
Once your child determines which questions on the larger deck they have trouble answering, encourage them to practice that specific type of math problem more by using one of the smaller decks that focuses on that math concept. The flashcards cover many important algebra, geometry, data analysis, probability, and percentages concepts, along with many other topics that may appear on the exam.
Another handy Learning Tool that is great to use for SSAT Middle Level Math review is the flashcards maker. You or your child can use it to make new flashcards to study. To access the flashcards builder, click on the “Create Tests & Flashcards” icon. You will then be prompted to give your new deck of flashcards a name that will be easy for your child to remember. Next, you will be provided with as many blank flashcards templates as you need to complete your deck.
Once you or your child make a new deck of math flashcards with the flashcards creator, your child can also practice this deck when on-the-go, just like the ready-made ones. If your child doesn't like carrying around bulky study materials, then they will have no excuse to skip studying after you enter the questions into the flashcard maker, and they can then access them easily on their tablet or phone!
The SSAT Middle Level test contains some math concepts your child has likely learned in school, but it may also contain some advanced math problems your child has not yet encountered in the classroom. This makes preparing for the test well very important for your child and their educational future.
