Tutoring review by Anna in Mountainside, NJ
The student has a worksheet and an exam that are due tomorrow. The first assignment focused on radical functions, while the exam was a review of previous topics such as synthetic division, finding the roots of polynomials, and the Rational Root Theorem. The student did well with the Algebraic calculations; however she should review the concepts and theorems so that they are committed to memory. I will contact the parent today with information to further assist the student with her assignment. She may email me with questions if she needs to.

Tutoring review by Tam in Mountainside, NJ
The student worked on a class assignment related to converting from description of reactions to chemical reactions, generating chemical formulas by adding subscripts to balance out the charges of the compounds, balancing reactions by adding coefficients, determining the phase of each compound, and identifying the type of reaction. We focused on balancing reactions, particularly adding fractional coefficients and later removing the denominator. In addition to four types of reactions discussed in class, I introduced combustion reactions to her, which were slightly more challenging to balance. She absorbed the materials well.

Tutoring review by Jason in Mountainside, NJ
During this session, we worked on maximizing area and perimeter given limitations, finding maxima and minima, and using a line of best fit given a table of data. The student continues to approach the material with a positive attitude and received instruction very well. Her current grade in the course is above a 90, so if she continues to work hard, she will definitely meet her goal of achieving an A in the class.

Tutoring review by Valerie in Mountainside, NJ
The student will be tested on all her math concepts since the beginning of the year within the next month. We reviewed her latest section on ratios, unit rates, and proportions, and she did really well on her quiz for the section that I gave her. She seems to really understand this section. I warned her that math is accumulative and we need to keep integers in mind because they will continue to make an appearance in her math sections. In addition, we worked on creating science notes for her exam at the end of the month.
