I have just received my BS degree in Biological Science at California State University, Fullerton. While I was there, I worked as a tutor for chemistry, biology, and physics. During my experience as a tutor, I learned how to address my student's needs to quickly adjust my explanation so that my student would understand. To improve myself, I attended work shops to learn more about tutoring and logged my progress in my journal. I still have things to learn, but that is what makes tutoring so enjoyable. Each session is different from one another and has its own unique challenges so that I can continue to learn and be a good tutor. Aside from my on-campus tutoring, I also tutored high school students in chemistry and physics. There are differences between high school and college students, but one thing I do find in common is that when we solve a problem together, we both get this feeling of accomplishment.Aside from tutoring, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis, and biking. Those are my latest hobbies at the moment. Other things I have done are football, rugby, wrestling, and basketball. On my lazier days, I will go play video games or rent a movie and enjoy a good laugh. Eating is always another enjoyable choice as well.

I will never forget my fifth grade teacher. My fifth grade teacher was cool, easy to talk to, and inspired all of his students to aim for the stars. He drove me to challenge myself each and every day; andto learn from every situation that is presented before us. He showed me that education can be extremely fun and exciting!I was one of many misguided students who saw him as the coolest teacher in the world. One could not wish for a greater role model. If I could connect with one student in my years of tutoring as my fifth grade teacher once did, it would all be worthwhile! I discovered my passion for tutoring when I took a job at a tutoring center in high school, and I've been growing as an educator and honing my craft ever since.
