Hello! I am qualified to tutor nursing students hoping to pass the NCLEX and TEAS tests. While I excel in health science, I have broader interests in which I can tutor. These include history, writing, and literature to name a few subjects. My nursing history includes obtaining my associate degree in nursing from Tarrant County College in 2011, my BSN, and then my master's degree in nursing education in 2022. My GPA was a 3.95, and 3.9, respectively. Then, upon graduating, I passed the NCLEX at 76 questions while I worked as a PCT on a cardiac step-down unit during nursing school. Then, I worked as a Surgical Circulator. I had decided I wanted more a more hands-on position and I began working at an outpatient chemotherapy infusion clinic. More recently, I was offered a position working from home with many different contracted companies doing Telehealth. I love my nursing career and I want you to as well!

Hello! I am excited to have the opportunity to share a little bit more about myself. I grew up in a very small town with a very loving family. When I am not teaching I love to travel, try new restaurants and foods, or watch sports. Also, family is a very important part of my life and who I am today. One thing that has truly made me the person I am today is teaching and education.I first fell in love with teaching at the age of sixteen when I enrolled in a program called Teachers for Tomorrow. Like many sixteen-year-olds, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life after high school. I enrolled in the program because when I was in primary school I struggled greatly academically. I remembered a group of teenagers coming in and helping the teacher with some of the students that needed extra support with their work. I registered for the class and have never left the classroom since. I entered my first classroom for the program and was able to work with a second-grade class. Each day I looked forward to being able to leave the high school and work with the students. After graduation, I attended Liberty University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education with additional endorsements in middle school education and history. Afterwards, I went back to my hometown and began teaching fifth-grade special education. During this time I started working on my Master's in Special Education from Liberty University. I continued teaching in my hometown in fourth and fifth-grade special education and general education. While continuing to teach in my hometown I saw a true need for additional support in reading and language arts. In the spring of my seventh year of teaching, I decided to enroll at Grand Canyon University in the Master's program for curriculum and instruction for reading. After completing the program I was able to assist more students in my hometown. I also earned a certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder. My teaching philosophy and tutoring style is based on the idea that the teacher has to meet the student where they are academically, emotionally, and mentally. A teacher should be able to meet a child's needs in all these areas in order for the instruction to be successful and have goals met. During tutoring sessions, there will be activities that are fun, educational, rigorous, and appropriate for the student. My passion for teaching and creating quality instruction comes from my struggles as a young student. When I was in primary school I struggled greatly in school and required extra assistance. It truly affected me in many ways even though I was very young. I decided that I never want any student to ever feel the way I did as that student that struggled to keep up with the work.Over the past eleven years, I have been working as a full-time teacher. I have instructed many different grade levels. I spent a majority of my time working with fourth and fifth graders in general education and special education. Currently, I teach Pre-K and am a mentor teacher for Kindergarten. I also have experience with first grade and second grade where I was an instructional leader for a summer program.Currently, I am available to teach any subject from kindergarten to fifth grade. I am also available for middle school English, executive functioning, reading comprehension, students with learning difficulties, and students with special needs. My favorite subjects to teach are elementary reading and math because it allows me to be creative and present the material in a fun and interesting way. I look forward to working with you in the future.

I have a background in applied management, but am working towards becoming a certified teacher. I have experience both as a tutor and also working with children in different settings. I understand how tough certain subjects can be for students since I've been 'that student' myself. For me, my most challenging subject was science. This experience has helped me to recognize the challenges children go through in their education. Furthermore, parents want to help and work so hard, but can easily become overextended while trying to help their children with homework or lessons. This is where I come in! I work directly with children and cater specific teaching methods and strategies to each individual. I think it's important to figure out what makes each student tick and use this to inspire them. It's easy to get frustrated, but together, we can overcome this and achieve your goals!

"Each one, teach one" is a motto that I live by as an educator. It is my firm belief that all students can learn and grow if there is a determined educator leading the classroom. As an educator, it is my job to facilitate the discussions in class as well as a guide to how to think on a deeper level. Knowing how crucial critical thinking is in today's modern world, I challenge each student from the onset of class to broaden their horizons of thinking. Students testify that after completing my class, there are no mountains too high for them to climb nor valley's low enough in their life that cannot be conquered. All students become more than academic conquerors. Their self-esteem soars and they have a meaning of accomplishment. Education is my calling and I have answered with students that once felt as if math was an enemy, now view it as a weapon placed in their academic arsenal. By teaching students how to dig deeper into the ground of learning, each year I receive the greatest teacher appreciation gift; student learning. With my knowledge and passion for learning it would be my pleasure to partner with you to increase academic learning.

I am a Sonographer specializing in breast ultrasounds for 7 years. I started my ultrasound education after completing my Bachelor's of Science in Biology. I was very unsure of what I wanted to do after undergrad but I found ultrasound and I have been enjoying it every since!I began my ultrasound career at a Level II Trauma Hospital where I learned, trained, and excelled in abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, and limited vascular ultrasound studies. While working there I obtained certifications for ARDMS in abdominal , ob/gyn and breast sonography.I started training in Breast imaging shorty after starting at the hospital. I love doing breast ultrasounds because I work very close with the radiologist who give great learning advice and help. The patient aspect in this field is very different from the hospital setting and I enjoyed the more personal time spent with the patients and really helping them to have a peace of mind.Ultrasound is a field that is growing and changing rapidly. I feel proud to be in such a unique and growing area, where I know I can help other students too! I remember where I started and felt almost like I wasn't cut out to do ultrasounds but I had great support from family, friends and school was a big help. If I can help just one student learn and gain max potential then I feel like my life in ultrasound has come full circle.

I feel that being an elementary school teacher or tutor, is one of great value and of a great deal of purpose in this lifetime. The reason I feel so strongly about being an elementary tutor, is because it is the foundation towards where education begins. As a teacher of the elementary studies, is where I can be there to mold students to enjoy learning, through being able to get all the students to learn through fun and exciting ways. I believe that if I am tutoring a child, and I show the child to keep trying and to never give up, then this will then reflect on that child as they grow up to always give their full best efforts into everything that they do in life. I am here to teach, tutor, and to nurture all young children into growing academically, so that they can all have bigger and brighter futures.

Teaching is something for which I have a great passion. Despite being a recent graduate, I have ten years of experience working with and teaching children. Being able to work with them one on one is some of the most rewarding and most enjoyable experiences I have had in my teaching experiences. Students will often need that extra help that they are not able to get in a school with a larger classroom. Making connections with the students is something I have done with success during my time leading classes at church as well as during my student teaching experience. This is an important aspect of teaching because gaining the trust and respect of your students goes a long way towards educational success. They need to know that you care about not only their education but their well being, too.Being able to receive one on one instruction can have a major benefit and provide improvements in all subject areas. It will boost confidence as they improve, and as this happens, their attitude and outlook will also improve. It is also helpful to have a new set of eyes and a new perspective for the student that is different from their current classroom or teacher. I will provide a positive experience for all students and help them to see learning can also be fun. My commitment is not only to improve their skills in various subjects but to also improve their confidence and desire for learning.

My philosophy of education is that every child should have the right to learn and get a quality education. Every child that I tutor should feel comfortable and safe. Our lessons time is in an environment full of nurturing and enriching. Individualized instruction is an integral strategy to aid children with different learning preferences. In order to meet individual challenges, lessons are structured into learning modalities by incorporating auditory, kinesthetic, and visual techniques. I apply a variety of approaches to the learning process. I use cooperative learning strategies is equally important, Use of cooperative learning strategies, as well as guided individual instruction are all necessary to provide an environment where children will use self-discovery and a hands-on approach to learning. Learning should be fun and exciting! .
