My name is Stephanie. I graduated in 2013 with a double degree in Psychology and Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) from Assumption College in Worcester, MA. I also graduated with an MS in Organizational Psychology from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, MA in 2015. I started tutoring in high school as part of a volunteer tutoring program in Providence, RI. While studying abroad in France, I worked with 1st and 4th graders teaching them English and also working one-on-one with children, teaching them Reading, Spelling, and writing. I was very impressed watching the children improve week after week with my help and my guidance during tutoring hours. My passion is to help students improve their French assimilation with the language, the culture and the way of life. I would also gain from the tutoring by practicing the language with a student and share my knowledge with someone else. I am also available to tutor English and Psychology. In order to further help the students whom I tutor, I use different teaching styles based on the student's learning style for example whether visual, kinesthetic, or aural.

I am a current graduate student at Duke University in the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program, and I am a graduate of Assumption College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biotechnology and a minor in Chemistry. I was a tutor for the past three years at Assumption College. Working with students one-on-one and leading large group reviews has developed my ability to explain complex material to students in a simple and understandable manner. I have always enjoyed explaining material to others, and I find it satisfying when the students finally understand the concepts. I learned that in science it is crucial to be able to articulate concepts to people of diverse backgrounds. I also believe that it is essential to pass my knowledge and passion to others so they can make their own contribution to the scientific community. In my spare time I enjoy being active. I usually swim, run, and attend boxing classes.
I am a Special Education teacher with 5 years teaching experience and 10 total years in the education field. I have a Masters degree in Special Education as well as Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in mathematics. I have taught in both the resource and inclusion classrooms in the subject areas of English, Math and Biology. I am currently teaching Biology, Biology II, Algebra II, Chemistry and an Academic Support class. I have 3 years tutoring experience in all of the above mentioned subjects as well as Math and Biology MCAS test prep. I am patient, innovative and encouraging. I am supportive of students with all different types of learning styles. One of my strengths is adapting lessons to fit the needs of the individual student (e.g. creating more models for the visual learner, pairing visuals with verbal instruction for the auditory learner, providing hands-on lessons for the tactile learner, etc.). I have a passion for education and learning and cannot wait to build my professional experience by tutoring you/your student.
I am a professional educator with a master's degree from Harvard and more than fifteen years of experience working with high school and college students. I have personally supported hundreds of individual students, and the programs I have led and consulted on have reached tens of thousands of students, helping them succeed, graduate, and enroll in the best universities.I am a zealot for designing and facilitating transformative educational initiatives and experiences, and I love helping people discover their own innate potential. I believe failure is just a (terrible) synonym for learning, and I focus on building a strong teacher-to-student relationship designed to cultivate trust, foster growth, and encourage a learning mindset. Learning is a process, not a product, and becoming a great learner is the best investment you can make in your own life.
Hi! I'm a fifth grade teacher and love math and science. I was a mathelete in high school and majored in Biology in college. I went back to school to get my teaching degree. This is my fourth year teaching and I love it so much, I want to do more.
Salutations! My name is Micheal and I have been a Science tutor since 2009. I believe people naturally excel at things they enjoy, for me that is teaching. Originally my work focused on assisting students with classes I had previously taken while attending Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. I found an honest excitement helping an individual grapple and ultimately grasp complex subjects pertaining to Chemistry and Biology. There is a personal reward and a level of pride that comes with helping someone learn. This feeling pushed me to seek other teaching opportunities. During my final year in college I was hired as a tutor for Boston Global, a small company which helps recently immigrated students in handling course material. That was a unique experience because it helped develop a talent for connecting to students with whom I may have had little in common. After graduation I moved to Washington D.C. to work at a gene sequencing laboratory. During my time in the capitol I was employed by a tutor contractor which helped me find numerous high school and college level students to tutor. Now I am back home working at Massachusetts General Hospital and looking to continue my career as a tutor. My experience and talent lie in the sciences because put simply, I love Science. That love is evident in my work and in the past has helped me get other students excited about the subject, and with that excitement came good grades.
