I am a graduate of Brenau University (B.S) and Mercer University (Masters of Education) and Mercer for my Specialist of Education. I also have a specialization in Reading and an ESOL endorsement. (To Teach students of another language K-12) I love teaching and helping students reach their full potential. I beleive that with the right help all students can learn and be successful. I taught for 15 years focusing on early childhood education with an emphasis on first and second grade. I am a graduate of Brenau University, a private women's school based in Gainesville, in northern Georgia of the US. I earned a degree in Liberal Arts, with a focus in English, English composition and analysis, and digital and studio art. I enjoy working with both native English speakers and those for whom English is a second language (ESOL). My goal is always to help both groups to refine their English so that they can put their 'best foot forward' in school, on tests, and in the workplace. I speak some Spanish, and am working towards fluency, so I have an appreciation for tackling a new language. I also have experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; I enjoy using and learning about technology. My teaching style tends to be conversational, with open-ended questions. I do my best to make lessons fun and engaging for my students; I find that learning some of their interests helps me make connections for them with the subject material, so they can see the value of their tutoring in recreation as well as their work. My mission statement is to help students realize the joy and the immense value of life-long learning. I want to nurture their curiosity and help them make critical interdisciplinary connections between topics to give them a more complete understanding of the world around them, as well as their understanding of the subject material, such as English or computer coding.

I am a graduate of Brenau University, where I received a Master's Degree in Teaching. I began my teaching career in Atlanta Public Schools, where I taught 4th grade. Since then, I have taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and Pre-Kindergarten in the Atlanta area. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Literacy and Math. I love using literacy texts and math exercises to help my students connect the subject matter to their own lives. I encourage my students to think critically by asking them open-ended questions and helping them develop individual approaches to problem-solving.
