I am a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Throughout the years of acquiring my degree, I have gained teaching experience through the multiple semesters of teaching a web-hybrid college course called Freshman Skills. This is a required course for students that didn't learn or forgot material from Algebra I and II. The goal of the course is to better their skills in mathematics for future mathematics courses at Bridgewater. This class required me to teach to a variety of students that were at different ages and mathematical abilities. Teaching this class each semester brought on different challenges and obstacles. I overcame these obstacles by planning and organizing the day to day classroom activities and also making myself available to my students to come for extra help. Connecting with each and every one of my students brought joy to the difficult days leading up to the students' understanding and being able to do the material with ease. In my spare time, I enjoy balancing watching Netflix and enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

I am a native of Massachusetts and received my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Bridgewater State College (now University) and my Masters of Science in Mathematics from Northeastern University. I have taught 8th grade math in New Hampshire, worked in a bank, worked as both a teacher/director for a national educational franchise, and most recently worked as a teacher/director in a private school, specializing in one-to-one instruction. In over 30 years or experience working with children, I have seen the benefits of personalized one-to-one tutoring. I love to see the students grasp a mathematical concept and believe that each child is capable of reaching his/her goal, given the tools needed to accomplish this. I try to reach each student at his or her level. Each one of us has special gifts and talents and I love to see my students' gifts blossom for others to see. I tutor math from the elementary level through Calculus 1 in addition to the math components of the SAT and ACT. In my spare time I do crafts, knitting, and crocheting for gifts and bazaars.
I am passionate about getting young students engaged with geography, social studies, and the world around them. Getting them to understand where things are, why they're there and why it matters is so wonderful to get to be apart of.
I recently graduated from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. While there I was fortunate enough to get research experience outside of the classroom as well as many opportunities to tutor and teach and the combination gave me a very well rounded approach to learning physics. I found that the research was exciting and I truly enjoyed the problem solving aspects of it but where I really thrived was when I was helping others learn about a subject I am so passionate about. I helped teach classes for public outreach, assisted with public events at our observatory, tutored and was a teaching assistant.Outside of my academic interests I teach horseback riding lessons and have done so for almost 20 years. While I have experience with all ages, I particularly enjoy teaching middle school and high school aged students. Through teaching riding lessons my students have taught me the importance of patience. Every student is an individual and learns at their own rate and in their own way.
I am a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a Bachelors of Science in Earth Science and a Masters degree in Teaching Physical Science. I have been a STEM teacher in Massachusetts for 20 years and love igniting an excitement for learning in my students. I have also directed summer STEM camps and workshops for children in my district. I most like teaching and tutoring subjects that revolved around science, coding, technology, and engineering concepts or elementary and middle school students. I'm passionate about learning and sharing that with my students.
I am passionate about teaching Reading. I have worked for 30 years in the profession starting as a Grade 1 teacher and now working in Title I. Having a strong ability to work with diverse children and adults especially students with all levels of academic acheivement, is a strength of mine. I'm talented at foraging strong relationships with students and their parents and guardians. I look forward to meeting you!
I went to Lesley University in Cambridge Ma for my Master's degree and it is Severe Special Needs. I was a special needs teacher for 14 years after that. I worked mostly with students in Elementary School and with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have experience with children with many other disabilities as well. When the pandemic happened I decided to be a stay at home mom to help my children with their school work.I love teaching and it is my greatest passion. I greatly enjoy when children understand the littlest things. My favorite part is watching the light bulb go off when they get it! My teaching philosophy is to have fun. You are not learning if you're not enjoying what you are doing!
Lover of culture, coffee, learning, and creativity! Let me help you succeed and learn in a fresh way. I love to teach and have had a teaching spirit within me from when I was a little girl. School has always come to me naturally, and learning new things is my passion. Let's learn!
I have a lot on energy when teaching/tutoring and believe that students learned best when they are actively engaged in what they are learning. I plan to create a fun online learning environment in which students are active participants. I worked for 5 years at Stoughton public schools in Massachusetts and have a Massachusetts state teaching license. Students will feel welcome and encouraged to participate and learn to the best of their ability.
It's hard to believe it's been three years since I started working in the education field. While finishing my MA in English, I took a job at a local public school and knew helping students reach their education goals is what I want to do. Every student's path is different and I'm here to help shine a light and help them breakthrough and reach the limitless side of your potential.
As a tutor, I will plan, create and adapt lessons to build student confidence and help students succeed academically. Throughout my experience as a teacher, I have learned how to match instruction to individual need to close achievement gaps. I will work to target a student's area of need as relative to the curriculum and content by assessing their abilities. I will help your child to think in new ways, I can give them material to match their instructional level while being sure that they are never feeling frustrated. I am warm, friendly and personable and will help your child feel comfortable in their tutoring environment. I will strive to be the best teacher I can to allow students to grow and learn, that is my ultimate goal.I have been in the field of education for the past eight years. I am a teacher for Lexington Public Schools. I am certified to teach elementary school (grades 1-6) but I am also certified in teaching ESL and I have experience working with younger children as I previously taught at a nursery school. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. As a child, I would "tutor" other children through my mother's at-home day care. As young as eight years old, I was teaching the concepts of letter sounds and addition. Now, into my adult years, I have carried this passion all the way through. I earned my Master's Degree immediately upon finishing my Undergraduate Degree. I have even gone on to receive thirty graduate credits beyond my Master's Degree which allows me to constantly reflect on my practice as a teacher to make room for improvement. I have my professional teaching license through the state of Massachusetts. I am a member of my school's Data Teams to discuss student concerns and come up with strategies to meet their needs in the classroom through regular education supports. I also serve on the Superintendent's Roundtable in my district where I meet with the Superintendent to discuss curriculum and new initiatives as they impact the district. Furthermore, I am a mentor to new teachers. I coach and guide them to show them new and innovative ways to teach while simultaneously helping them to feel comfortable and confident in their practice. I am articulate and driven and to me, the greatest gift is that of teaching. The feeling you get when you see a child apply a concept you taught them is unlike any other. I want to be the one to help your child succeed.Though I am a full-time classroom teacher, tutoring has always been one of my favorite hobbies. I enjoy having the opportunity to work with students one-on-one to truly allow them to get the individual instruction and attention they need and deserve. I also enjoy reading, running and exercising in general. I am an aunt to three lively boys and a beautiful baby girl. I spend a lot of time with my family and friends.
I graduated from Bridgewater State University with degree in communications. I ended up helping students out when I working at school system. I got hooked right there. I enjoy that spark student gets when they finally understand something. As I call it the "Lightbulb" feeling and it is by far the most amazing thing. I have worked with many students from K-9th grade tutoring. I tutor Mostly Math and Science. I do tutor other subjects also. Math is my favorite because I love numbers and how they work. I change my style up depending on the student. I try to bring their love for things into the lesson if possible. If they are interested, they listen.
I recently graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Bridgewater State University with a BS in Mathematics concentrating on Statistics. I've always had a strong passion for math, and I have a wide variety of tutoring experience from elementary and high school students to (more recently) college students.I truly enjoy math and know how relevant it is in everyday life. Because I'm so passionate about the subject, I am patient with those that I tutor because I want them to be successful and excited when they grasp something. I love seeing that look of understanding when something 'clicks' and a student finally gets what they have struggled to learn.Math, with its abstract concepts, is a difficult subject to learn, and can be difficult to teach. Every student has a different learning style that works for them. I pride myself on being able to connect with students and to understand what they already know, in order to take their learning to the next level. Sometimes a student knows the material, but just isn't confident about how they found an answer. Other times, the student may benefit from a real-life example. For instance, a sports fan may understand the concepts of percentages better if it's explained in terms of number of free throws in comparison to total points scored. Or maybe the method is converting the ingredients from a recipe made for four people to a recipe for six. It is my job to help each student find what works best for them.I have a full-time day job, so I am available most nights and weekends. Online or in-person lessons are both fine with me. I practice social distancing and will absolutely wear a mask to in-person sessions. Come see why math is such an exciting subject!
Hi, I'm Nicholas. I help students turn confusing concepts into practical knowledge they can actually use. With 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, business strategy, and professional writing, I've worked with startups and national organizations alike. My teaching style is patient, interactive, and focused on building confidence. My goal isn't just to help you get the right answerit's to help you understand the reasoning behind it and succeed independently.
I work as a full-time Social Studies teacher at a high school right outside of Boston. I am a graduate of Bridgewater a State University where I majored in history. There, I learned not only the best methods to comprehend all of the facts and information that one must do while enrolled in such courses, but how to think critically at the subject at hand. After graduating, I passed the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure in history, become a licensed Social Studies teacher in the state. I am looking to start graduate school this year, where I will be getting a degree in Moderate Special Education,As a teacher, I relate events of the past to modern day situations so it is easier for the students to comprehend. It is important that students understand the events in history that brought us to where we are today. In the class room, I utilize multimodal methods of instruction to ensure that the lesson is getting though to the students. What works for one, doesn't mean it will work for the other. I figure out which method best fits each of my students and will use that method for every lesson. While studying history, it is not only the facts and dates that matter, but the ideas. I do my best to teach that in my classroom every day.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities 5-12) from Westfield State University in 2016. I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Special Education (Severe Disabilities All Levels) from Bridgewater State University in 2019.Since finishing my undergraduate degree I have worked in both public and private schools, with a wide variety of ages and abilities. I have taught United States History, as well as work readiness, life skills, and academic support classes. One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know each student as a learner. No two students are the same, and it is an exciting challenge to find what strategies work best for each student. IEPs and 504 plans act as a guide for each student, but I like to go deeper than that and find how I as a teacher can best connect the student to the material being studied.
I am always ready to help students with their work. My goal is to not only be a guide for them but also build their confidence in themselves in order for them to work on their own in the future. I am currently a senior at Bridgewater State University and am majoring in mathematics and elementary education. I have tutored students in algebra, geometry, and a bit of calculus also. I have now been working as a tutor for more than 4 years and am more than happy to continue that journey.
I am a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University. I received my Bachelor of Science in mathematics with a concentration in pure mathematics. I am pursuing my PhD and my career goal is to be a math professor. As an undergraduate, I worked as a math tutor for a wide variety of courses. I also worked as a teachers assistant for precalculus readiness, and precalculus courses. I absolutely love working with students in math. I have such a passion for the subject which translates in my tutoring. When a student is willing to put in effort and wants to learn, together we can accomplish a great deal.I attempt to tutor in a way that will lead my students to be more independent learners. My teaching method is two-fold. I provide well thought out explanations of concepts and work to solve problems with my students. Secondly, I present them with ways to learn and find out information in a way that they will be able to use when i'm not there. For example, I teach my students how to read math books so they can get the most out of it, and really learn the material through the process. Some of my personal interests include cooking and reading, especially science fiction novels. I also love learning new mathematics. Currently I am working my way through a graph theory book and am learning more probability and statistics through Khan Academy.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. I've taught at the middle school, high school, and community college levels. I currently teach at a high school which employs the use of both instructional and online learning. Of all the subjects I enjoy most, Algebra takes the prize. I love working with simple and advanced equations, and appreciate it for its use in web and computer programming which is another of my interests. Outside of teaching, I love to play guitar, read, and play competitive Scrabble. I have a variety of interests beyond these, and use them to help in forming solid learning relationships with students and tutors alike. I look forward to working with you!
