I have over twenty years of experience reading, marking, correcting, and grading papers at the following levels: UC schools, state university, community college, and K-12, both in regular education and in special education.I have taught students and have graded papers in UC schools for over six years, in state university for two years, in community colleges for five years, and in K-12 for seven years. All the above is concurrent with practicing private tutoring in writing in many areas, but primarily in English, Composition, and Literature. I am credentialed in teaching in special education, both as a generalist and as an autism specialist. Finally, I also have many years of experience teaching in both English as a Second Language (ESL) courses and Sheltered courses.

I graduated from Washington State University. My major was Sociology with a minor in Human Development. Later, I became a teacher to assist students with learning disabilities. My biggest revelation was that everyone learns differently.I help struggling students find their learning style and apply it. The process may not be pretty but progress is made . One strategy is "no opting out". Students work on a assignment despite believing they cannot complete it.My approach to tutoring is two-fold for students in elementary school to high school. They must practice skills and learning strategies. This approach does not accommodate college students because of the academic workload. For them, our sessions are project-based. I cover all aspects of an assignment, including examples or critique completed projects.I now focus on entrepreneurial education and S.T.E.M. The subjects that I tutor are: English, Language Arts and Basic Math to Pre-Algebra. I look forward to unleashing the learning potential of future clients.

I graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and Pepperdine University with a Master's in Education.I currently teach high school math and I have tutored students throughout the school year.I mainly tutor students in Algebra 1 and Geometry. However, my favorite subject to tutor is Algebra 1 because I find that this is the subject that students usually have a harder time with.I try my best to teach students step by step on how to solve problems.
