I am very passionate about helping people because I want to see other people succeed and be happy.I have worked with students with disabilities as a notetaker and tutor, I have also tutored high school and middle school students, and adults. I have a Bachelors Degrees in Earth Science and a double minor: Secondary Education and Economics from The City College of New York. I am currently working towards getting my Master. Some of the subjects that I tutor include: Math, Spanish, Earth Science. My favorite subject to tutor is Math because I think math isa lot of fun and I feel that I have the knowledge and strategies to break it down so that people can understand it better. My teaching philosophy is that everybody has the right to a good education. My tutoring style is very interactive because I work with the student and assess their learning by asking questions. I have a strong interest for sports, particularly for soccer. I also love to play piano and chess.

I am a people person, and I enjoy helping and being of assistance. I have a lot of patience, and am very creative. I find that people of all ages struggle with some sort of learning curve. Finding what works for each person individually is how to teach. Everyone learns differently. Some people are great listeners and do great with dictation, while some need to be hands on, and some people also just are visual learners. Understanding the person you are helping, and learning a little bit about them helps and goes a long way.
I have tutored math for over a decade, from elementary math to college-level calculus and differential equations. I have worked with students from many backgrounds and learning styles, and I understand that every student's struggle with math is different. My goal is to listen patiently, find where the difficulty begins, and adapt my teaching method to the student's needs. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and building confidence.
I received my Associate in Arts and Bachelor's and Master's degree in Educational Psychologist with a focus on learning and teaching techniques from Manhattan College and University of Salvador, respectively. Since my first graduation, I have founded my own corporate training company and traveled broadly around the world coaching and mentoring (in English and Spanish) people from different cultures, backgrounds, and socioeconomic levels; helping them to achieve their professional and personal goals. While more than 25 years of experience allow me to tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Coaching, Spanish, Public Speaking, and assisting people to live their dreams. I just became a Special Education Teacher and I obtained another Master in Education (M.Ed.) at the UNLV focused on Special Education & Behavioral Disorders. I am a living proof than even when you might be trying to master a new language, you can get great academic and life results! This personal experience and having fun during the learning process have been the key to finding ways to help others conquer their success as well.
Neuroscience/Pre-Med student, After a few minutes, we will have our own language to talk smart!
I am a student born and raised in NYC . I can teach a variety of subjects, such as Spanish, Math, and History. I am able to play and teach saxophone.
I currently have 5 plus years of experience as a Teacher as well as a tutor for ages K through High school. I went to school In BMCC where I obtained my Associates in Science degree and currently pursuing my Childhood Education degree from Brooklyn College. As a teacher I was able to experience teaching children of all ages! This was able to give me a better focus on what each child needs and what better ways they can adequately adapt to each curriculum. Throughout my teaching years I was able to watch children reach their high potential of learning and was there every step of the way to help reach that learning goal. I'm passionate about helping children learn and improve in all academic subjects. It is when you know that your student is confident in themselves and their work, that is when you as a tutor get excited and say " hard work does pay off"!I currently tutor in the following subjects- Elementary school - All subjects- JHS- Math, social studies and or History, Science, Language arts, Reading, writing, ESL, etc.- High school - American History, Earth science, ESL, Reading, writing, computer , etc.I'am not limited to just these subjects and grade levels. You can always feel free to message me and ask about the subject or topic you need help in, and I'll be happy to assist you. I am currently working towards a Bachelor's of Arts in History, focusing on historiography, specifically Sovietology. I tutor all the humanitarian topics, including the SAT verbal and writing, English, essay composition and editing, world and U.S. history, and the whole spectrum of the REGENTS test.I like to break things down to their fundamentals and learn from the bottom up, so that it's easier to see how all the pieces of a topic fit together. A ten page paper might seem intimidating, until you break it down into a list of bullet points and ideas. Patience is a virtue and I exercise it dutifully. I'm comfortable tutoring all ages; a bit of empathy can span even decades, I believe. In my free time, I love surrounding myself with books and scraps of paper with inky pens, but when I do escape from between the pages I swim and play volleyball. I'm also fluent in Russian.
