Hello, my name is Nicole and I am just finishing my 10th year of teaching. I've had a variety of teaching experiences including teaching middle school reading and writing, all subjects for 1st and 2nd grade, supporting students with an ELL background from grades 3-8, and teaching an English language class to adults. I have a great love of education and look forward to helping others succeed!

I have had the pleasure of being an Early Childhood Special Education teacher, with a background in Speech and language pathology for the past ten years. I am an enthusiastic, versatile, and compassionate educator, and advocate for my students. I strive to promote the development of all learning styles, by meeting students where they are, and providing them with developmentally appropriate, engaging, and hands-on activities. I believe in helping students become confident in who they are, so that they can achieve the growth in their area(s) of need. My objective is to provide my students with a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment, so that they can develop a love for learning and acquire the skills to become lifelong learners.

I am a current third grade dual language teacher and I absolutely adore teaching language. I am a native speaker of English and Spanish is my second language. Therefore, I can tutor literacy in either language and would be thrilled to help any student beginning to learn English or Spanish. I could assist with grammar, creative writing, building vocabulary, reading strategies, or any other topic under the umbrella of literacy.

As I near the end of my rewarding 37-year teaching career, I am excited to focus my efforts on tutoring students in public speaking and acting. With a Master's degree in Communication and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and a Bachelor's in Speech and Theatre Education from Elmhurst College, I bring over 5 years of tutoring experience, dedicated to empowering students to discover their unique voices and build confidence. I am a graduate of Elmhurst University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. I am a Graphic Designer with more than 5 years of experience in the field. I have been working in the field of marketing helping marketing teams create various design deliverables to help promote events, organizations and services. With my experience, I've helped colleagues with understanding design theory and best practices and I've shown tips and tricks to working with the various Adobe Suite products such as Photoshop and Illustrator. What I hope to accomplish as a tutor is help my students achieve their visual goals of their design works and not be limited by anything. In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, playing guitar, video games and spending time with my family.

Hello! I am an active learner and I would love to help students in need! I have a wealth of school knowledge and world experiences! I have a Master's Degree in Business, Bachelor of Science in Economics, I have lived in 8 different countries and am fluent in Spanish! My mother is an early childhood educator and having a wealth of knowledge is something that has been instilled in me since birth. Through this program, I hope to engage students by not only teaching them how to be successful in the classroom, but how some of these concepts will be applicable in today's generation in the constantly changing world around us. My job experience has also been extremely diverse: McDonalds, a Government Agency, a Law Firm, Amazon, a Pro Basketball Player and many more! As a recent medical graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Elmhurst College, I am passionate about helping high school and college students excel in subjects like Anatomy & Physiology, AP Biology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry. With over 2 years of tutoring experience, including teaching Spanish, I strive to create engaging, relatable lessons that meet students where they are in their understanding. Since then, I've spent the past two years working as a lead teacher in an early pre-k classroom, first as a lead in a ten 24-36 month olds at a private family-owned center and now as a co-lead in a classroom of ten 15-36 month olds at a local community center.I believe we should be lifelong learners and strive to foster that for myself by staying up to date with the latest trends in education. In my free time, I love to read (historical fiction, paranormal, and dystopians) and play boardgames or DnD with my friends.

My passion for teaching stems from my belief that programming can be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I utilize a hands-on approach, often demonstrating coding snippets and encouraging students to explain their understanding back to me, which reinforces their learning. I find great joy in helping students grasp challenging concepts, like linked lists, and witnessing their "aha" moments.
