You may call me a degree collector or an enthusiast of learning. With two Masters' degrees, two undergraduate degrees, and two minors, I studied everything from Russian, Spanish, and Philosophy to Physics and Space Science. My drive to uncover the unknown and zeal for problem-solving proved to be useful in the airspace, oil and gas, and real estate industries where I've worked for more than 13 years.Nothing in my career, however, has been as gratifying as helping students connect the dots. In my extensive work as a math and physics tutor for high school and university students, I have always followed three simple steps:1. identify what the student does not know2. figure out what they know3. help them close the knowledge/understanding gap.In explanations of concepts, I strive to bring the abstract to reality for my students. When we are solving problems, I rarely give my students straight answers. I guide them so they can arrive at the answers by themselves or I point them to where they may find clues.I love seeing "the wheels starting to turn." This is how my students gain confidence in their abilities. My ultimate goal is to model for my students studying skills so that they can eventually handle their learning by themselves. Yes! My goal is for the students NOT to need me. Because independent learning is king and problem-solving skills are gold in real life!My students always master much more than the subject they needed help with.

I am currently a senior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University who is working towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering. As my choice of major suggests, I am particularly strong in math and science, and I tutor math up to Calculus 2 and up to Physics 3 (Electricity & Magnetism). I am a physics tutor with Embry-Riddle's on-campus tutoring lab, and I am also well qualified to aid in test prep for the PSAT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, and AP exams, having self-studied and scored highly for all of those exams. When teaching, my ultimate goal is to train the student not to simply answer specific questions, but to get them to understand how to approach problems properly and break down more complex scenarios into their most basic concepts, so that the solution can be found. Outside of academia, my interests include playing music, basketball and soccer, cooking, and generally trying to learn new skills (right now I am learning French). If you are interested in working with me, please message me so we can set up a tutoring schedule as soon as possible.

I graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Business Administration. I recently decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree. I am a Federal Aviation Administration Certificated Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, & Advanced Ground Instructor. I started my career in education as a Ground Instructor for my university, where I taught a few thousand students over two years and approximately 760 dedicated instructional hours. I also worked as an Independent Flight Instructor in Part 61 flight operations for much of that time.I specialize in tutoring for FAA tests and general flight/aviation subjects. Within that, I've taught everything from basic aerodynamics to flight physiology and weather. I love teaching, and especially teaching aviation subjects because the aviation community is a small, tightly-knit family. Very few people get to experience the thrills of flight and understand what a privilege it is to soar above the clouds. Every one of us who has ever looked to the skies in the hopes that we may be up there deserves the opportunity to work toward making that a reality. To me, there is nothing better than seeing a student get closer to fulfilling their dreams. Overall, mentoring and teaching the next generation of aviation professionals and enthusiasts is the best reward because I get to see the future of our industry take shape. My tutoring style is very adaptable to whatever style works best for the student. Most of my experience involves teaching visual and kinesthetic learners, but I have taught students of almost every culture, personality, and learning style. As long as we have open communication, I think we can make anything work.Outside of academia, I am an avid motorcycle rider and car enthusiast. I also enjoy traveling and hiking, and I will always say yes to anything that involves dogs - they're my favorite.
Enabling children to grasp the foundational knowledge and skills that they will use for the rest of their lives is a wonderful gift. Good education is, in my belief, the single most important thing we can impart to the younger generation.I am very motivated to equip children and young adult young with the necessary skills that they need to prospers in their academic endeavors and in this world.I have been fortunate to work with children and young adults improving theirs academic knowledge in subject matters such as Spanish and math. I have also had the opportunity to teach many college courses like Student Success, ESOL and Spanish. Many people see school work as a tedious process. For me, learning is a fascinating moment to grow as a person and a professional and I strive in sharing that knowledge with others.
I am currently studying Aerospace Physiology at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and am a midshipman in the Naval ROTC program set to commission in 2023. I have always loved the challenges that come with learning mathematics and many other subjects. I understand the importance a strong mathematical foundation specifically has for a young student, since many advanced subjects involve some variation of math! I enjoy teaching and acting as a mentor to help steer my younger peers in the right direction while also making learning fun and explaining the reason for why certain subjects taught in school are necessary, despite seeming pointless in the moment. The skills needed to prosper in higher academics and in life are learned in our youngest years and that is why it is crucial to have strong mentors while growing up and learning!
