I have 9 years of experience of teaching special education at the middle and high school levels. My teaching philosophy is creating a positive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. Recognizing that every learner thrives under different conditions, I specialize in designing individualized student supports that target specific cognitive, emotional, and functional needs. I love positive reinforcement and creating an environment where students love to learn.
Teaching Spanish is more than imparting instruction, it is to help others to look at the world through the eyes of another culture, while they become better thinkers and better communicators.
Hello, I'm AJ! I'm currently getting my MFA is Studio Art at UGA. I love teaching people new things and passing on my own concepts and understandings of various topics. This job benefits me as a tutor and you as a student in allowing us to both develop in our skill sets. My favorite hobbies are writing, drawing, and traveling. For me, using study aids that are outside of the box help me memorize my school work while using unique techniques, and I want that to be shown to other students as well.My teaching philosophy is to create an environment that encourages student learning and allows students to approach me for further understanding. I acknowledge and understand that every student's learning style is different. Rather than look down on a student's failure, I encourage a reflection on their failure in order to develop their skills and understanding. It's with failure that the students can further develop an understanding of what their work means to them and their audience.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Pure Mathematics (basically mathematical theory) and I have worked at Mathnasium for 4 years instructing kids K-12. My main priorities with tutoring besides development of technical skills are instilling confidence, good learning habits and enthusiasm.
I Have been a nanny for six years, and with the jobs comes the responsibility to help the children with school work and projects. I have been a tutor for six years and seek joy in the moments of epiphany through the children I mentor and tutor.

I am a graduate from Georgia Gwinnett College with a bachelors degree in early childhood education. I have worked specifically with Kindergarten, third and fifth grades. I am certified to teach all elementary students. I am also an esol endorsed teacher which means I can teach students who are English language learners. During my time in the kindergarten classroom, I taught EIP students. These students are struggling readers that were not meeting grade level. My passion is teaching and helping students to be successful. I currently teach 4th grade all content. I have my masters degree in reading instruction. While I love teaching across all subjects areas, I have a strong passion for teaching reading and writing. I know what its like to struggle as a reader because I struggled in elementary school. I want to help those students gain the confidence and skills needed to be successful readers. Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my family. I love reading books to my 3 kids and hope to instill in them the importance of reading. I also love a good adventure and the outdoors.
Hello! I am recent graduate from GGC with a biology major and a minor in chemistry. I am currently working on my Masters in Nursing, and I would love to help out in any way I can with whatever knowledge I can provide!
As a lifelong learner, I know how difficult it is to learn just in a general classroom setting. I personally worked through different studying styles to work out which study method was best for me. As it turns out, the one-method-fits-all approach wasn't the answer - it all varies depending on the subject and situation. I am a visual, tactile, and auditory learner so I incorporate all of these traits when learning. I strive to use this adaptive approach when teaching others as well! Through leadership programs and babysitting, I have taught students in several settings. I have experience teaching from young grade school students to university levels through programs such as peer leadership. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology at Georgia Gwinnett College in Georgia and will soon finish my Master's degree in Marine Biology from Stockholm University in Stockholm, Sweden. I am also working towards a certification as a Veterinary technician at San Juan College in New Mexico. My passion for helping students comes from my very nature. I always loved helping others and I tend to have patience equivalent to a teacher. This has naturally progressed to me being in roles in which I educate. The subjects I tutor for are biology, math (algebra and calculus), English and Japanese. Tutoring for Japanese is my favorite as I love how passionate students are when they are interested in the Japanese language and culture. As a native speaker of Japanese and English, I know the common struggles students face with both languages and I know how to address them.
I am a graduate of Georgia Gwinnett College where I received a bachelor's degree in elementary education. I bring a solid educational foundation to my passion for helping students succeed. My journey in education spans close to a decade, during which I've been actively involved in various capacities working with students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects for students from kindergarten through fifth grade; I am especially passionate about language arts and reading. I aim to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters students' creativity and curiosity while also tailoring to their individual needs as a learner. I firmly believe that a solid foundation in education can help anyone achieve their goals and I try to imbue this understanding in each student I work with. Beyond academics, I love spending time with my loved ones, reading, and spending time in nature.
I love learning and teaching 3D applications. The world of 3D is limitless!
