Hello! I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student with strong and experienced tutoring background in all levels of Math, including: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus. I hope to help my students develop strong foundational skills in Math that can further develop into solving complex problems and getting excellent grades.

I am a graduate of University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduating, I received my teacher certification from Texas Teachers of Tomorrow. I am certified in Core Subjects EC-6, ESL EC-12, and English 7-12. I spent my first two years in an intermediate school teaching 6th grade Science and Social Studies and then a year teaching 5th grade Reading. For my third and fourth years of teaching, I moved up to 7th grade Reading. I have experience teaching a wide variety of students from English language learners, SPED, to the academically advanced. While teaching, I went to school online at Grand Canyon University where I received a Master of Science in Instructional Design. I love to read so this is where my passion lies in teaching. I have found that students have the most trouble with reading comprehension, test type questions, and writing constructed responses. They struggle with developing their critical thinking from the "what" to the "why". It is my goal to help students dive deeper into stories to develop their reading and writing abilities.

After the birth of my son, I experienced a profound realization of my vocational calling, ignited by witnessing his developmental milestones and educational growth. Motivated by a desire to facilitate learning experiences akin to those I observed in my son, I embarked on a journey to support children, particularly those with learning disabilities. This journey led me to discover my passion for teaching. Commencing as an assistant teacher in a pre-kindergarten classroom, I progressively pursued professional development, culminating in the attainment of an Early Childhood Development certification and an associate's degree in Teaching and Learning from Houston Community College. Currently employed at Sugar Land School of Science and Technology as a teacher's aide, I am committed to furthering my education at the University of Houston to acquire a bachelor's degree and teaching certification. Specializing in Language Arts, writing, and history, I am dedicated to fostering engaging and dynamic learning environments, whether in-person or virtual, to enhance students' comprehension and instill a lifelong love for learning. I graduated high school with both my diploma and an associates degree in applied science and I am currently working on my Bachelors degree majoring in neuroscience with a minor in anthropology at University of Texas at Austin. I am also a registered medical assistant working at an urgent care, and on my off time back in Houston I tutor my native language, Tamil. Though I tutor in a wide range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, literature, and essay writing. I am a Sonographer specializing in breast ultrasounds for 7 years. I started my ultrasound education after completing my Bachelor's of Science in Biology. I was very unsure of what I wanted to do after undergrad but I found ultrasound and I have been enjoying it every since!I began my ultrasound career at a Level II Trauma Hospital where I learned, trained, and excelled in abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, small parts, and limited vascular ultrasound studies. While working there I obtained certifications for ARDMS in abdominal , ob/gyn and breast sonography.I started training in Breast imaging shorty after starting at the hospital. I love doing breast ultrasounds because I work very close with the radiologist who give great learning advice and help. The patient aspect in this field is very different from the hospital setting and I enjoyed the more personal time spent with the patients and really helping them to have a peace of mind.Ultrasound is a field that is growing and changing rapidly. I feel proud to be in such a unique and growing area, where I know I can help other students too! I remember where I started and felt almost like I wasn't cut out to do ultrasounds but I had great support from family, friends and school was a big help. If I can help just one student learn and gain max potential then I feel like my life in ultrasound has come full circle.

I am currently pursuing my bachelors' degree at Texas A&M University. Under my belt already is an associates degree in Multidisciplinary Studies - Kinesiology which I completed while being dual-enrolled in community college when I was in high school. After I complete my Bachelor's degree I plan to attend physical therapy school as my main goal in life is to help people. I love being a role model and educating others around me. My favorite subjects are any type of math. I think very logically so math has always been an area of expertise for me. Test prep for the SAT and ACT is also in my wheelhouse. Over the years, I have built up quite a resume working with children in sports and in the education setting. I am very passionate about helping others and always want to try my best to aid in someone's success if given the opportunity.

I have a Master degree in Business Administration from Texas Southern University. I also have more than five years of experience in Tutoring Moths and French respectively from overseas, France, Senegal and in the United States at Houston Independent School District. I love tutoring French, my general education was in French (Elementary, Middle school in France}. My tutoring experience in Moths was amazing, my students made tremendous results after their first month. My teaching philosophy essentially consist of teaching and re-teaching. So consistency is one of my strategy used, combined with regular quizzes to evaluate the student's knowledge. I love to go to the movies on my free time.

I have always been fascinated by my mathematical studies and, having a flair for the subject, there was never any doubt that I would choose Engineering as a degree. Mathematics is a pivotal subject on which so many others depend (such as physics and chemistry). I relish the challenge of problem solving that mathematics provides. For me, it is an endlessly intriguing subject, as the discipline appears limitless, allowing so much scope for further study and research.My interest has spread to computers and trying to link the two together has played a big part of my life in the last few years. I have taught myself, using books and other available sources, how to program in JAVA and HTML and this has made it possible for me to take an active role in web design.I'm looking forward to experiencing university life - it will not only give me the academic grounds to get into careers like Computer Science and research, but the social experience in itself is something to look forward to.

My first experience with tutoring was during the junior year of high school. In Chemistry class I would help others and my teacher would encourage me to do so as well. I would help students with test corrections and classwork. Me helping others, in fact, helped me develop communicational skills and gain confidence about the material I had learned. Later during the year, I assisted chemistry teachers with symposiums for STAAR and the finals.After graduation, I started tutoring privately. I've worked with mostly middle school and few high school students.Currently I tutor for iEducateUSA, a non-profit organization that assigns tutors to elementary schools to provide extra help for the students. I've been tutoring fifth graders for the past year and it has been an exceptional experience. I hope to continue this journey for a very long time.
