I am a math and science educator hoping to inspire the next generation of scientists. I currently work as a Teacher/Mentor at a private school. In my free time I enjoy working out, biking and hiking. You can often catch me at the local park running or enjoying the outdoors!

I am a graduate student at Illinois Institute of Institute of Technology in Hardware Engineering. I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer with a focus on control systems and computer architecture. After graduating in 2015, I worked in the industry as a consultant and continued tutoring Engineering Statistics and Computer Engineering classes. My tutoring experience includes a broad range of subjects and age groups I can offer extensive flexibility among disciplines and use technology to visualize them. I have prepared students for IB and SAT and tutored Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics and Computer Science on various levels. Even though my tutoring experience is very extensive, I love teaching physics and calculus. It's something I have to use in my everyday life as a research assistant and I like visualizing examples rather than memorizing formulas and theories to get my end results. I am what people call as a knowledge sponge. I love learning in general. You can find me doing Sudoku or crosswords in a coffee shop or doing experiments in the lab, but the end of goal is the same: learning something new. I believe with knowledge we can improve our quality of life and become more intellectual beings. As far as hobbies and side projects goes, I enjoy cooking professionally, working with my hands building or working on robots, electrical cars and control circuits, and love watching and playing soccer.
I am a bioengineering masters student at Illinois Institute of Technology with a 3.83 GPA. In the future I plan on applying to a neuroengineering PhD program and eventually work on understanding the cause and providing new treatments for mental disorders. My greatest skills are in probability and statistics, chemistry, and physiology.
I am a rising second-year at the Illinois Institute of Technology working towards a degree in Astrophysics. I have worked with students for a year and a half at Superior Training as a swim instructor, teaching students aged 3-14. I tutor a range of middle school to high school math, such as Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and AP Calculus AB, with my favorite subject being Calculus I/AP Calculus AB. When I teach, I try my best to make sure that every step of the problem is understood before moving on, to ensure a greater understanding of the bigger picture. In my free time, you can find me playing video games, at the gym, or hanging out with friends.
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.Colin Powell
I am a patient tutor with a strong academic background in mathematics. I enjoy working with students of different learning styles and believe that effective tutoring is not just about finding the right answer, but about developing the skills and mindset for independent success, no matter which way students initially approach a problem. As someone who has studied advanced mathematics and problem-solving techniques, I understand how frustrating challenging subjects can feel. Because of this, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. In addition to academic knowledge, I bring strong reliability and professionalism. I take pride in being organized, committed to helping students achieve their goals, whether they are improving grades, preparing for exams, or gaining confidence in a subject. Tutoring is highly rewarding to me because I enjoy seeing students grow in understanding over time.
I am a math and science tutor with years of experience and a passion for helping young students realize their potential and achieve their goals.I received my bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. I am currently studying to become an actuary, having passed the first two exams. I am working toward the third exam, studying advanced calculus and probability theory.I began tutoring in 2013 while working on my bachelor's degree, and have been doing so ever since. I have tutored several students in a variety of subjects in math and physics, from algebra 1 up through college level calculus, including ACT test prep.Working one on one with students to help them achieve their academic goals has been a deeply rewarding experience for me. I cherish the opportunity to share my skills and experience with my students, and I make their success my highest priority. I believe that with hard work and the proper guidance any student can be successful.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Marquette University in Mechanical Engineering. My focus was in thermal sciences, specifically combustion and heat transfer. While at Marquette I did research on thermal transfer in turbulent flow. While at Marquette, I spent a summer at Northwestern University doing research in bandgap theory and kinetic energy harvesters. I moved back to my hometown of Chicago to get my Masters at Illinois Institute of Technology. I studied Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Thermal Science and Fluid Mechanics. I have a strong passion for the academic realm and believe only through a strong background in theory can you develop an excellent practical engineering ability. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, and swimming. I also help out at my local Boy Scout troop. I am a bit of a nerd and play many table top board games.
I have been teaching mathematics for 20 years and have been a tutor for about 10 of the years. I have a Bachelors degree from Chicago State University and my Masters of Mathematical Teaching from Illinois Institute of Technology. I have taught math in grades 6-12. The subjects I have experience teaching are middle school mathematics, Pre- Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2 Trigonometry, and Pre- Calculus. I presently teach High School Geometry. I enjoy teaching mathematics because it was the one subject I could always explain how to do to anyone.I have been tutoring for about 10 years. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to get to know many different students from many different walks of life. I feel that tutoring has helped me to grow as a teacher. I get to see what is going on in the classroom from a different point of view. I work hard to make sure my tutor students achieve success. I want them to leave confident that they can succeed in mathematics. I have tutored a number of students for many years and it was a delight to see them change into mature young adults.
Teaching is one of the most noble things a person can do, and it is one thing I have been doing for many years. Since arriving to Chicago in 2010, I have been active in assisting others in my community. I began tutoring children of various ages at the JHP community center, where I taught both academic and physical skills. More important than my teaching experiences, however, is my ability to touch other peoples lives. After starting college at IIT, I began to interact more with African immigrants, Latino students, and other groups. My experiences, conversations, and struggles with these individuals made me realize how racial and economic problems can affect school studies. One example was during my undergraduate studies when I noticed how the diverse student body, even international students, lacked knowledge about the scientific history of other cultures. I thus began working in the Math Club to promote events on Chinese, African, Arab mathematics. These initiatives were greatly appreciated by both staff and students.I thus learned the importance of personally connecting with others in order to better communicate with them. These were also the lessons I picked up while tutoring at-risk students at Pathways-In-Education. I also learned the need to work alongside teachers and other staff to ensure the organization could give the best possible support to each single student. This, combined with my years of assisting AP calculus teachers, has given me the ability to bond with both faculty and students, thereby creating a conductive learning environment for all people.I am thus confident I can help anyone excel in whatever field they need help in, particularly mathematics as it is one of my favorite subjects, as well the topic of my bachelor's degree.
I am a graduate of a top engineering university and a doctoral candidate in biomedical engineering. I have years of experience tutoring math and various sciences from elementary through college. I tutor high school sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I also have extensive experience in several college engineering classes.
As a parent of a 2nd grader, I want to help students increase their knowledge, have better grades, and have more self confidence when learning different subjects. With me you will have someone who will not only help you learn better but will try to make learning fun since I love subjects like Math and English. I have a masters degree in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute Of Technology and will do whatever it takes to help improve your performance in school.
