There are many different methods in solving a math problem; however, many teachers are negligent of other possible ways of solving a problem due to the lack of time in class, thus they only present one method of solving a problem. Not every student can solve a problem using the same method; I have become aware of this as many of classmates and I will receive the same answer to a problem, but would have arrived by different methods. Because of this, I believe a student, best, comprehends a topic when he or she applies his or her own logic to the problem, thus, when I tutor, I adapt to the method and logic that the student is using and guide them to the correct answer.
