I'm a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and bookkeeping professional with a degree in Accounting and more than 15 years of experience analyzing financial information, solving business problems, and helping people understand numbers with confidence. Throughout my career, I've worked with businesses of all sizes and have extensive experience using QuickBooks Online. I also worked in QuickBooks Customer Support, where I helped small business owners navigate everything from setting up their accounts to managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. That experience taught me how to explain accounting concepts in a practical, easy-to-understand way. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and tailored to each student's needs. I am currently a mathematics professor at a community college, where I teach both online and on-ground classes, teaching everything from college prep math to college algebra to basic and advanced statistics. Before this position, I taught electronics and computer networking at a technical institute and mathematics and computers at a career college.I enjoy teaching and tutoring math and science, trying to make both subjects relatable to everyday situations, understandable and fun. My goal is to help students first understand how certain mathematical principles work, because then it will be easier for them to learn how to apply them appropriately.When I am not teaching, I enjoy woodworking and reading science fiction.

As a successful chemical engineering student, I have often had the opportunity to learn from those around me. At this point in my academic career it seems fitting to in turn provide assistance to those around me.

In 2019 I obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry with a focus in Biology from Kettering University. From there I went on to earn a Master's in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship from Grand Canyon University. Throughout my undergraduate I worked as a laboratory assistant for a cellular biologist. This allowed me to assist in instructing students in laboratory practices. I was there to assist in showing how book work can be translated into real world applications. I have worked extensively with children ages K-6th grade in summer and winter programs at my local church, organizing a team and promoting memorization and application reading. I am a firm believer that anyone can learn any subject if the work is put in. I also understand learning styles are essential in academia. I strive to assist in helping others learn how they can better prepare themselves academically. I have a special kind of love for the science and mathematics field, loving chemistry, biology, and calculus. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, music, and playing with my puppy Nova.

As a grade school student, I also struggled with my subjects. Overcoming those challenges, I became a Kettering University alumni with a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics. I have a passion for tutoring and sharing the knowledge I have obtained. My mission as a tutor is to improve the academic achievement and confidence of all students.
