My engaging teaching, high expectations, progressive curriculum, and strong relationships with students and parents ensure that the plan is implemented to the highest level. I have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a mathematics minor. I also have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and have been a practicing engineer for the past 21 years. After college, I've taught math and science in a Jr. High school for three years and found it to be a very rewarding experience. In the graduate school, I taught and tutored as a teaching assistant for the undergraduate physics lab course. I've continued to enjoy the joy of teaching and sharing through private tutoring. Even working as an engineer, I welcomed opportunities to mentor junior engineers to help them grow and sharpen their skills as engineers. I love to see the joy in the students' faces when they finally understand the concepts that have been eluding them and find the confidence in themselves. I accomplish that by finding out the gaps in the students' mastery of the subject matter and exploring ways to help students understand them at their pace. We'll talk and solve some problems together and have fun learning as it used to be. I hope you will rediscover the joy of learning in the process. My favorite subjects to tutor are math, science, and engineering. In my down times, I enjoy watching dramas or movies about mysteries or procedurals or sci-fi. When I can, I also enjoy a good game of ping pong and volleyball.
I like assisting in educational concepts and ideas that make a difference in the ever-present future while seeing individuals discover the direction they seek.

I earned my doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in higher education leadership. My applied dissertation concentrated on the effective teaching of economics and the effects of teaching styles on achievement that could be replicated in any discipline and curriculum. In other words, my research and studies involved innovative teaching pedagogy, which means enabling and engaging students on each and every topic to participate in discussion groups regarding the deep learning related to the subject matter. This process includes team leaders who report to me and no doubt, as has been my experience, students enjoy discussing economic and business topics that they are studying and to which they are exposed.I earned my MBA from LeTourneau University with a concentration in management organizational behavior. Regarding my work experiences and occupations prior to participating in the education field, I have worked in and I have been trained in the following occupations. The work and training include: marketing, sales, and business management for Xerox Corporation, Nestl Corporation, Warner Chilcott Pharmaceuticals, Ayerst Pharmaceuticals, Leeway Motor Freight, and Ryder Motor Freight. I also owned and operated McKizzie Life and Health Insurance Agency. Now to get to the following that I have enjoyed most of all, working in the educational and business arenas.
I LOVE helping students feel confident and excited about learning. It's so rewarding to see students overcome their anxieties and discover the joy in education. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students can not only master the material but also have fun doing it. I earned my B.A. in English and my K-8 teaching credential in California, which gave me a solid foundation in teaching and understanding students' unique needs. I've had the pleasure of working with students across a wide range of subjects, including ESL/ELL, elementary and middle school English, math, science, social studies, reading, and writing. This diverse experience allows me to really connect with students at different levels and help them grow in a way that makes sense for them. Math is definitely my favorite subject to tutor. There's something so exciting about helping students realize they're "math people" after all. I love watching them go from feeling frustrated to confident as they start to understand the concepts and see how math can be fun and logical. It's incredibly satisfying to help students break through that barrier. My teaching approach is all about balancing big-picture ideas with practical, hands-on practice. I want students to understand the "why" behind what they're learning and then give them plenty of opportunities to put that knowledge into practice. Whenever I can, I connect lessons to the real world to show students how what they're learning can actually be useful. I also make a point to tailor my approach to each student's background and strengths, building on what they already know and helping them feel more confident as they move forward.
