I am a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. I studied Middle Childhood Education with a focus on the subject areas of English and Math. I continued my education at Lewis University where I received my Master's Degree in Education. I am currently a sixth grade teacher, and I have worked with students at every learning level, from intervention to honors courses. While I as most passionate about writing and grammar, I also love to help students in the area of math because, as a middle school student myself, I often felt that math was just "confusing" and "too hard." I never imagined that I would be a math teacher myself, but my own experience has helped me identify with my struggling students and help them to be CONFIDENT in their math skills! I understand that no matter what topic students are learning, they need to find it interesting in some way this is my specialty! For example, I like to watch and play sports and listen to music. If I had a student with the same interests, I would use reading materials such as sports articles and song lyrics to appeal to that student. In math, I would use player statistics and sheet music to make concepts clear. In the end, I know is it important for students to connect with what they are learning in order for ideas to stick!

Helping students realize their potential and gain confidence in their abilities is incredibly rewarding. With degrees in both biology and psychology from Lewis University, I understand the challenges of finding clarity in education, which drives my passion for guiding students academically and personally. My experience includes informal peer tutoring in biology and chemistry, as well as assisting in a laboratory setting. Specializing in medical laboratory science, I work in chemistry, hematology, coagulation studies, and urinalysis. This breadth of knowledge allows me to tutor subjects like biology, chemistry, anatomy, and psychology. Chemistry is my favorite subject to tutor, as it forms the basis of many biological processes, and I enjoy helping students connect theory to real-world applications. I believe in a patient and adaptive teaching approach, tailoring lessons to each student's learning style. My goal is to build their confidence and encourage independent thinking. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy fitness and keeping up with healthcare advancements, which fuel both my personal and professional growth.

Knowledge is freedom. My name is Adan, I am a Chemistry MS with focus on material sciences and coordination polymers. I am also an avid pianist and weightlifter. Classical music is my jam! As a teacher, I will make sure you build on solid foundations of knowledge so that learning become easier, more fun and a more rewarding experience. As a graduate student who has just finished the Bachelor's in Science degree and is continuing on to obtain Master's in Science degree in chemistry I thrive on helping various students succeed. Seeing students succeed from me tutoring them and teaching them is a rewarding experience because I can see how I change their lives. Helping students grow and learn is an experience that is a life time opportunity and helps you keep on top of subjects that I have learned back from high school in 2006- 2010. Also, I had to re learn everything from the ground up when I was out of school for a year from 2013 -2014. I am a graduate of Illinois State University. I received my Bachelors in Science focusing on Elementary Education. While teaching, I studied at Lewis University where earned a Masters in Education focusing on ESL. I have taught in rural, suburban, and urban settings in Illinois and student taught Year 4 in England. I am a recent graduate of the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program at Seattle Film Institute. Before obtaining my masters here, I received a separate masters degree in music theory at Northern Arizona University. Hello! My name is Levi. I'm a current Graduate Student at Lewis University getting a Masters of Science in Data Science focusing on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics. I graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Biology. I was a teaching assistant for a Web Development and Advanced Web Development course in college. After college I was a Leadership Consultant where I helped students with productivity, organizational efficiency, and utilizing university resources. I have been a tutor for peers and other students since high school. Between tutoring friends for the ACT, helping younger students with their AP tests, or working as a TA in college, I have been teaching one-on-one for years. I am passionate about the nursing field and helping students. Having gone through these nursing exams in the past, I know how difficult and overwhelming they can be. I would love to help support students through this process and help them pass the NCLEX and Family Nurse Practitioner boards. I have a BSN, MSN in Nursing Education, and a post Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I received all of these degrees at Lewis University. I have been a Registered Nurse for 11 years and a Family Nurse Practitioner for a little under a year. I can help students prepare for the NCLEX exam and the Family Nurse Practitioner boards. I have 12 years of HR experience. I've also taught Managing Human Capital, Introduction to Compensation and Benefits and Business courses at the university level.
