I have a vast background in teaching both Mathematics (holding a PhD in math and nearly 20 years of direct experience) and English (holding a TEFL certification and 3 year of online teaching experience). This combination of two things, of course, could make me your perfect SAT tutor! In fact, I can nearly guarantee you that you won't find a tutor with a stronger background in these subjects both individually and/or taken together! In addition to these two things, I have a lot of experience with coding! In fact, currently, it's my favorite subject to teach. I would love to have more full times students who want to learn how to code Roblox and/or other games. I have made applications for games that have tens of thousands of downloads! I also code Roblox games. My favorite language is LUA, but I can help you with basic things in other languages.Of course, my teaching style is not for everybody! If you're just looking for direct answers to your homework, I will not provides these! I tend to ask many open ended questions. It is based on the adage that teaching somebody to fish is far better than giving them a fish!As asides, I can speak a bit of Spanish, minored and theatre, and I can play the tuba (don't laugh).Lastly, I also have a considerable background dealing with students with ADHD and other learning disabilities. I, myself, have ADHD and was able to get a PhD in math, so I certainly know the tricks needed to accomplish such things despite the ADHD!I look forward to working with you!!

I've been tutoring for four years and genuinely love helping students succeed. I'm passionate about all areas of math, but I'm especially interested in how students learn best. With over 1,500 students tutored across different platforms and in person, I've developed strategies that work for different learning styles. I look forward to working with you!
I am a certified English teacher who has taught and tutored students in grades 7 - 12 for 23 years. I attained my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Secondary Education certification in 2000 from Lycoming College. I then attained my Master of Arts in English Literature in 2011 from Mercy College. I enjoy teaching and tutoring because I love to witness the moments when my students are successful. My objective as an educator is to learn about my students in order to assist them in discovering their strengths. This is so that they can learn how to help themselves at reaching their own goals.
I graduated from Lycoming College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an (unofficial) focus in creative writing. During my time in college, I tutored extensively in a variety of subjects with specific emphasis on tutoring international and ESL students. After graduating, I worked in curriculum development and authored a textbook, a biography, and several works of short historical fiction. In 2021, I moved to Tijuana, Mexico to work at a nonprofit which operates a boys' orphanage, an infant orphanage, and a home building program for low-income families, and I became fluent in Spanish in the course of my work there. I primarily tutor English grammar (for both native and non-native speakers), essay writing (for any discipline), creative writing, poetry, and Spanish; and I am happy to conduct sessions in either English or Spanish. I strongly believe in the value of human connection in education, and strive to form meaningful relationships with my students to encourage them to succeed.
As a certified teacher in New Jersey with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Lycoming College, I bring over 2 years of tutoring experience and a passion for fostering academic growth in my students. My specialties in Elementary School Math, Phonics, and PRAXIS preparation allow me to tailor my approach to meet individual learning needs. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and explore concepts at their own pace. Witnessing their progress and building their confidence is what drives my commitment to education. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading and exploring new educational methods to enhance my tutoring practice.
