Hello! I scored in the 90th percentile on the GRE Quant section and on the LSAT, and so can you. I am a results-oriented, subject-matter expert when it comes to test prep, and all math levels up to Calculus.I am a top-performing tutor as my students have seen substantial improvements in their performance, scores and cognitive development. While our sessions will be intensive, I'll make sure we will have a positive experience where no book in the world can replace.I have worked with over 50 students who have seen their scores and grades improve after working with me, with some jumping 20 points in their raw score. Both logic theory and fundamentals are reviewed thoroughly before we apply them directly. Together, we will achieve higher scores!Further, I've wanted to always teach, so tutoring test prep is my way of being able to share my knowledge with students every step of the way. My goal is to make the student self-sufficient so that learning can become natural and self-fulfilling. I'm currently at NYU while consulting for federal agencies.Enhanced learning is more achievable with personalized tutoring, let's get to work!I also adhere to the Statements of Principles of Good Practice of the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants (AIGAC) and Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
I feel the the academic experiences that I have been through as a student for so many years have given me such great insight as a student. All the years of education and of having been a student always gave me an opportunity to learn from my professors. Now that I am on the other side, I have a sense of empathy, respect, and also feel humbled by my experiences and certainly very able to communicate in a professional manner with my students. I have and hold my students to high expectations and will go above and beyond to help them understand the material and my objective is to make them feel empowered and aware that they are capable of performing satisfactory and independently. For myself, teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with students of all ages. In our competitive society it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best educator that I can be.
I graduated from Lynn University in 2010 with a degree in Communications. I'm a patient, encouraging, positive tutor who specializes in liberal arts, English, and essays. I love helping people learn! I believe to be an effective tutor one must be a good listener and encourage a dialogue, both of which I practice in my tutoring sessions. Tutoring is about the ability to really address what the student needs. Outside of academia I enjoy fashion, movies, and the arts.
