I am a graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and a minor in Spanish. Since graduation, I worked as a web designer and spent time developing my skills in the field. Most of my experience tutoring is in Spanish, but I also enjoy tutoring Math. I believe that every student is capable of learning, they just need the right motivation and inspiration.

I recently graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Beginning Fall of 2016 I will be attending UNT Pharmacy School in Fort Worth. I have tutored for many years in a variety of subjects ranging from the sciences to public speaking, writing, and english. In high school I coached speech and debate for middle school and high school students. I can assist with test prep as well as projects. I like to make learning fun and enjoyable and so I try to use a variety of resources to help students relate to material as well as retain it. I believe that learning should involve real world experiences. My goal is for students to become masters of their education so that in the end, the student can in fact become the teacher.Aside from tutoring I enjoy going to concerts, singing karaoke, camping, reading, and watching movies.

Hi! My name is Gabrielle and I am excited about the opportunity to tutor. I have always loved learning and am pursuing higher education currently. I have always succeeded academically- graduating salutatorian of my high school, summa cum laude from Mercer University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, and currently at Texas A&M College of Medicine pursuing a masters in engineering and MD. I have worked as an Assistant Professor in the English and Global and International Studies. I teach introduction to women's studies, first year writing, introduction to literary theory, and several contemporary literature and genre courses including horror and children's literature. I also spent two years as the interim faculty co-director of the Ohio Writing Project for the Master of Arts in Teaching, where I taught the four course sequence of classroom research and writing and acted as the research director for all MAT projects. After graduation, I worked as an assistant center director at a Mathnasium for about 8 months, until graduate school led to a time conflict. I love tutoring all types of math. I think that everyone can learn math, and that the key is to get to know the students learning style and to explain concepts in the way that makes the most sense to them. You can tutor five different students over the exact same concept, and each session will be different because how I teach depends on the student.
