I am a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College with a double major in Media and Communication, and Business with a concentration in Marketing.Currently, I am studying to earn my master's degree in applied analytics.In the spring semester of my Junior year of college, I studied abroad to Ireland, where I interned at Zeeko education, a startup which teaches internet safety to schools across Ireland. I learned many important lessons about teaching children, especially across the internet.As I have several years of writing center experience, I am passionate in teaching students how to become stronger writers both mechanically and stylistically.

I am working toward a double English and Dance major at Muhlenberg College. I am currently earning my Secondary Teacher's certification. My passion is to help students find their own passion and identity in the world, and to help them how to think critically. I tutor in a variety of English subjects, ACT prep, ukulele, and songwriting! I have experience in both outdoor and museum science education, and I have tutored students in science, English, writing, and music. I graduated from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. I am currently finishing my Master in Medical Sciences at Brown University before I begin medical school this fall. I have always really enjoyed working with young people; I volunteered in the children's department of my local library for several years, tutored elementary schoolers while in high school, helped coach youth cheer for a few years, and taught a class at a local middle school this past semester. While I tutor a variety of subjects, I am most passionate about Math and Sciences, and especially love using pictures and short video clips to help strengthen students' understanding of the concepts. Everybody learns differently, and everybody deserves to learn well- finding the methods that make it 'click' for a student is one of the most powerful tools for life-long learning and is something that I strive for.

As a lifelong enthusiast of language and history, I double majored in Spanish and Political Science at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, graduating magna cum laude in May 2014. In the future, I plan to attend graduate school most likely to further my education in government and diplomacy. First and foremost, with regard to my tutoring experiences, I try to keep the mood of my tutoring sessions as light and humorous as I can. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to tutor Spanish for three-and-a-half years during college. I tutored students ranging from seasoned Spanish speakers to those who had never taken a Spanish course before. While I admit that I have an unusual knack for learning languages, I understand the amount of hard work required to master a language even with that knack. I wholeheartedly believe that talent is not sufficient; it was what you do with your talents that determines how successful you become. While I have not professionally tutored subjects other than Spanish, I have been known among teachers, professors, and peers as a master of the English language, the Spanish language, world history, and many other subjects. I have informally tutored friends in these areas on numerous occasions. I hope that my passion will be contagious to my tutees. Outside of academia, my interests and hobbies include hiking, swimming, tennis, reading, cooking, creative and academic writing, old movies (from the 1930's, 40's, 50's, and 60's), genealogy, and photography.

I am a graduate student in Sport Psychology at Ithaca College and am actively working toward becoming a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC). I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Muhlenberg College, where I had the opportunity to compete as a collegiate track athlete and softball player. Being both a student and an athlete sparked my passion for mental performance and solidified my desire to help athletes reach their full potential. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to work with you and truly look forward to learning from you and meeting you in person.

Long before I graduated in May 2013 from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Public Health, I knew that I wanted to take a gap year between my undergraduate education and medical school to pursue personal interests of mine. These interests include continuing my experience as a tutor, focusing on my physical fitness by jogging, swimming and playing sports, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and partaking in new activities that I have yet to become involved in due to time constraints. For instance, after graduating from college, I have so far had the chance to work with children as a lifeguard at a private day camp and as a volunteer at Celtic Charms, a therapeutic horseback riding center for the physically and mentally handicapped. Considering that I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with students of all ages, I really appreciate the opportunities I have had thus far, such as tutoring Statistical Analysis and Principles of Biology I at the college level and GED math to underprivileged students in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Currently, I tutor high school math, including Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus, as well as high school Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. I also enjoy tutoring college level Biology, which consists of topics that are essential to my future career as a medical professional. In addition to enjoying the subject material, I take pleasure in motivating students to work as hard as necessary to achieve their goals, helping them to constantly improve their academic performance, and explaining challenging concepts using a variety of methods personalized for each student. I understand how much of a positive impact a tutor can be on a student’s performance and overall confidence, and it is highly rewarding to play that role myself.

I am currently a student at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania, working toward a degree in International Studies and Economics. Despite not being an English major, my favorite courses have always involved the study and analysis of literature. In high school I completed both AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature and Composition, and have helped many underclassmen since then prepare for these AP tests. I enjoy tutoring because I can relate to the challenge of struggling in a class not necessarily because of the material itself but rather because of the way the material is presented. Learning is a very personal experience - what makes it "click" for one student may not work for another. I think what scares most people about writing, especially at the high school and college level, is that there typically is no right and wrong answer. Especially for those more inclined to math and sciences, this can be very challenging. But it doesn't have to be! I would like to help students see analytical reading and writing as opportunities to explore not only literature, but also their own opinions, interpretations and connections. When I'm not writing my own papers, you can find me practicing my figure skating at the ice rink or working behind the scenes in my college theater.

I am a tutor and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. I am passionate about working with students because I love learning, myself. Hello! I am a medical school graduate with a little bit of free time on my hands. I am currently preparing for my residency exams because I have my heart set on a few special hospitals. Before med school, I went to Muhlenberg College in Allentown when I majored in Biology and Environmental Science. The subjects that I listed, I love tutoring for. They are my passion and enjoy discussing each in detail.

I graduated from Muhlenberg college with Honors in Chemistry. It was in my freshman year at Muhlenberg that I was first trained as a tutor. Ever since I have been tutoring Math, Chemistry and standardized tests. Tutoring is a pleasure to me, I particularly enjoy helping students reach that 'aha' moment, where they gain an insight into a particular concept. As of January 2012 I have tutored more than 20 students for a total of nearly 500 hours.In the future I will be attending graduate school in Chemistry, and will later continue as an educator, hopefully on the university level.

Last fall I had the opportunity to study abroad in southern France and complete a full french-language cultural immersion program. Therefore, my french abilities increased significantly.
