Since I have been awarded the degree of Masters of Science in Math Education from Prairie View A&M and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Mathematics Education from Texas A&M University, I fully understand the commitment to and importance of education and closing achievement gaps.During my entire career in education, I was given many opportunities. I served as Mathematics/Science Education instructor on the post secondary level, did consulting specializing in supplemental education solutions for Mathematics, Science, and STEM, taught and tutored within schools, and lead a district charter managing multiple campuses.Although my work experience has been mostly face to face, with groups of dynamic teachers, passionate principals, and students that are sponges for content, I am looking to expand the populations I serve. I would like to reach more groups and individuals that are equally dynamic, passionate and tenacious.
I am a graduate of Prairie View A&M University and Columbia University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Legal Studies with a focus on pre-law. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Math and History. In my experience helping students gain better studying habits and organization always seems to help them with their overall school work. I believe education is important, and when gifted the right tools, success is inevitable. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling with friends and family, and volunteering.
