I entered the tutoring profession to help others achieve their full potential academically, professionally and personally. I believe that those three are interwoven because in order to succeed in one you have to strive and achieve in all.On a personal note I am an avid runner and reader. I enjoy the outdoors but I also enjoy those quiet moments after a busy day.

I am a graduate of Rutgers University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, American Intercontinental University where I received a Master's in Instructional Technology, and completed all of my coursework and currently completing my dissertation for a PhD in Educational Technology at Walden University. I have worked in several major corporations as an Instructional Designer and Curriculum Designer before moving to Primary and Secondary Education. I am a published researcher in the area of utilizing technology with at- risk learners and designed an award winning tutoring system called One2One Mastery. I founded a successful company that provided diagnostic assessments and tutoring in 14 states with over 400 employees, primarily educators, and thousands of students as part of the "No Child Left Behind" program. I also founded a non-profit company that still provides hot meals, enrichment activities, and after school tutoring for underprivileged children. My philosophy is that "every child can learn if provided with proper instruction, the right tools and enough time". While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about the basics of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. My instructional foundation is Mastery Learning and Critical Thinking with a great deal of experience helping struggling learners. I believe a student with talent may be successful but if you build a student's self-confidence and self-esteem, they will strive to succeed on their own; first for you, then for themselves. I am a lifelong learner and love learning. It is that love of learning that I strive to impart with my students.
I am a top graduate of Rutgers University and hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Although I am a practicing clinician, I also love to teach and tutor. I have had several years of teaching experience, including a variety of teaching experiences throughout my undergraduate and my doctorate program. While teaching, I incorporate real world examples to help the student understand the application of the learning material to the real world environment. I also tailor each student's tutoring session to meet the individual needs of that student, and am able to assess the learning process and progress of each student. Aside from physical therapy and education, I also hold a strong interest in world travel, photography, and animal welfare. I look forward to meeting and working with you to meet your educational goals.
Playing with Numbers since 2000.
I am attending Rutgers New Brunswick and pursuing a degree in Cognitive Science. Throughout my high school career, I actively engaged in multiple tutoring opportunities for my Science Honors Society. I was also a member of Human Who Incorporation where I crafted homework, tests, and presentation material for a variety of math subjects, along with PSAT reading and math sections. Additionally, my job at Kumon involved assisting students with their Math and English, along with grading both subjects. While I tutor in a range of subjects, my personal favorites are Math, History, and Science. Beyond tutoring, my own employment of a variety of study methods from blurting to note-taking will allow me to guide students in finding effective strategies for their learning. Overall, while I strongly believe in the transformative power of education, I am also familiar with the struggles one meets along the way and hope to help my students overcome these and have a successful academic journey.

As someone with a physical and reading disability, I find it important to make learning accessible to everyone. I have a BA in psychology and a MS in computational biology (with a focus on neuroscience) from Rutgers University. After receiving my Masters degree, I taught an Intermediate Algebra course and a Cell Membranes course at Rutgers. At the same time, I was tutoring psychology and neuroscience at the University's Learning Center, where I came across students with a wide range of learning styles and strengths. I try to adopt a strengths-based approach to tutoring and teaching, spending time outside of tutoring sessions breaking down concepts to match students' needs. Outside of academia, I spend a lot time writing music and singing, in order to express my emotions and experiences in life.
I am an Economics Master Student from Rutgers University (Top 10%) and Undergraduate in Economics with massive mathematical courses. I have 3 years tutoring experience and have the ability to teach kids from various ethnic, income, language and cultural backgrounds.
I am a recent graduate of Rutgers School of Law. I went to law school not with the intention of becoming a lawyer, but instead to gain the tools necessary to become a more effective advocate and teacher. I believe that the best form of advocacy is through education, specifically teaching.
I have experience teaching in various capacities in the field of Economics, Math and History in the United States and internationally. I was successful teaching Economics as an Adjunct Professor, Lecturer and Professor of Economics in various settings including online. Innovative teach using technology is my specialty. I am skilled in media such as video, online course materials (such as Blackboard and/or Sakai) and web sites to engage students in learning. I believe that students should be offered the most innovative methods of teaching in order to prepare them for the real world. My personal philosophy is to make the subject applicable to the students and realistic beyond theory. In addition to textbook information, my classes include current events and case studies to make the content of the course relevant to the students interest.
I am currently a sophomore at Rutgers University pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Throughout my lifetime I have had a huge passion for sharing my knowledge with the youth and would love to tutor students with everything I can offer. I love teaching anything related to math or computer science, but am certainly not limited to those two. I am fairly flexible and easy to get a hold of, and would love to get a chance to have an intro session with you!
