I am a fourth-year medical student beginning my Family Medicine residency in the fall. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Edward's University, Human Anatomy Specialization certification from the Univeristy of Michigan, and am a certified EMT (ACLS, BLS, PALS).The way I learned was by breaking complex topics into easily digestible pieces and looking at things from different points of view. I am very much a visual learner, so I draw (pretty much everything) out.I began tutoring in high school and fell in love with helping students find a way to use their strengths to overcome their learning obstacles.During college, I worked as a student tutor specializing in introductory and advanced Biology, Human Physiology, academic and scientific writing, and academic coaching. While I enjoy all of the subjects that I tutor, I am most passionate about Academic Coaching. During high school, I struggled to simply keep up with my courses, much less "succeed". It wasn't until college that I learned how to study appropriately, determine and utilize my own learning style, manage my time, and succeed in my courses.I love tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to help my students develop these skills and succeed earlier in their academic careers. I am a strong believer in the adage, "think smarter, not harder"!

I recently graduated from University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth with a M.S. in Medical Sciences. Prior to that I spent four years atop a hill at St. Edward's University earning a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Psychology. I started tutoring when I was a sophomore at St. Edward's. In my senior year I picked up another tutoring job working with an after school program that provided TAKS prep for middle and high school students. Through my education and experiences I've developed the ability to tutor a larger variety of subjects. During this time, I also discovered the importance of finding a student's learning style and tailoring all lessons to match their needs as well as include tips that will help students with their study skills and their time management. As a tutor it's important to me that I don't just try to help students through one class but teach them how to be successful independent learners through their whole academic career. After spending five years away from Houston, I like to spend my free time rediscovering all the exciting places that I forgot the city had to offer. However, I do miss Austin and look forward to any opportunity to go back and visit. When I'm not exploring cities I enjoy reading, going to see movies, trying to find new music, and keeping up with my friends. Oh and if it's Sunday I'm probably anxiously watching the Texans

I am a graduate of St. Edward's University; I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication and my Masters of Arts in Human Service/Public Administration. Following graduation, I joined Austin Community College as an adult education instructor for GED and ESL students. In addition to adult students, I also provide tutoring to children and teens needing the necessary fundamentals for academic progress, or those seeking to proactively increase their understanding of a particular subject. Although I teach the four core subjects in the classroom, I primarily tutor in the areas of Math and Reading Language Arts. I especially enjoy teaching Math because I deliver the subject content in a manner that students are frequently amazed at their ability to grasp what they previously believed to be difficult mathematical concepts. I have also effectively assisted students prepare for standardized exams, whether state mandated grade-level tests, or college-level entrance exams. My teaching style is a combination of coaching and cheer leading. Like a coach, I have high expectations for my students because I prepare them using best practice subject content drills and exercises; and like a cheerleader, I excitedly celebrate every progressive effort towards their academic goal. Students - young and old - respond to my style because they want to successfully conquer their academic challenges themselves. I have lived in several countries, and have traveled to a few others; thus, I have a genuine appreciation for diverse cultures and customs. In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, swimming, and relaxing in the tranquil surroundings of my park-like backyard.

I'm excited to be your tutor! I recently graduated college in the top 10% of my class. I'm very familiar with what courage it takes to ask for help in a subject because I have gotten tutoring for a subject I struggled with. No one is perfect at everything, and learning how to ask for help will make you a stronger student and better prepare you for the real world. Self-improvement is what is most important here; not comparing yourself to others. I am a firm believer that the best way to learn is whatever works for YOU, and while finding those study techniques may take some trial and error, in the end, you will learn not only the subject you're being tutored in, but also more about yourself. I bet you'll find that you're better at that subject than you thought! No one is simply "bad" at a subject; it's just that they haven't found how that subject clicks with them yet. That's why I'm here!

Part of being an effective tutor is being able to engage with the student, one-on-one, and helping them to overcome any difficulties in their assignments, while instilling in them the joy of learning. I earned my Bachelor's degree at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. I tutor in math, specifically pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, and geometry. I enjoy helping people get over their fear of math. I don't believe math should be a scary subject.Outside of tutoring, I enjoy going to the movies, reading, fashion design, sewing and crafting.

Hi there folks! My name's Pablo, and I've been teaching since 2019. I'm a published author, working with no agent, so I've had to impress publishers exclusively through the strength and competence of my writingmy goal with any student is to equip them with the skills to do the same, even if their end-goal may look a little different. My ideal student is curious, and driven (even if they need an extra push every once in a while!) But mostly, I work to make myself the ideal tutor: my teaching style is adaptive and I prioritize my students' needs above any prescriptive one-size-fits-all "philosophy of teaching" I want to help you, not some imaginary person. Let's book a call!

I'm passionate about helping students unlock their full potential by breaking down complex concepts into clear, relatable ideas. With a strong background in STEM (biology and chemistry grad and current researcher on the path to an MD/PhD) and hands-on teaching experience, I create a supportive space where curiosity thrives and confidence grows! I'm usually chatting with my friends, cooking up something tasty, or binge-watching my favorite shows. I love reading, playing puzzles and games, and just chilling at the park, swinging on the swings!
