I received my Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies from Indiana University-Bloomington and my Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Southeast Missouri State University. I have over 7 years of experience with tutoring all grades (K-12), primarily, students who have executive functioning deficits, ADD/ADHD, autism, and other related developmental disorders. I tutor mainly in Elementary and Middle School Math, African American History, High School and College level English, and High School, College level Writing, Executive Functioning, and American Sign Language. My favorite subject is American Sign Language and African American History because I enjoy the content from both subjects. In my experience, my students experience the most success with my tutoring because I used a variety of individualized teaching methods that best suited for the learner. I truly enjoy seeing my students achieve their ah-ha moments, confidence, and improve their grades. My teaching philosophy is based on Skinner's theory of learning- Positive Reinforcement (Radical Behaviorism)! My belief is that every student has the ability to learn anything when their efforts are reinforced, inspired, and encouraged to keep striving. I use errorless teaching (a technique used to eliminate frustration and increase the probability of maintaining engagement for nonpreferred activities/subjects) to prevent and eliminate frustration with subjects that may be difficult for them. My interests outside of tutoring are yoga, dance, educating, traveling, and playing fun board games with friends and family.

I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelors degree in seconday education majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. I received a Masters Degree in Seconday Education from Baker University. I have taught for more than 3 decades and still enjoy sharing my knowledge of science with students. I am most happy when my students master a concept and become more confident in themselves. I am very excited to have the opprtunity to connect with students across the nation and help them become successful in science. In my spare time I love to be in nature biking or hiking with my family and reading.

I'm a master's student looking for a side gig over the summer. I enjoy teaching; I've student taught my peers through my own education plus two years of TA at a middle school. I like to make learning fun - riddles, puzzles, creative thinking over just filling in the right steps :)

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French from Southeast Missouri State University. While in college I travelled to Montreal, Quebec for an entire summer to work and learn French.I taught Spanish and French for two years at a small rural high school in Missouri. During those years I was asked to teach a Spanish summer program to underserved students which I really found both challenging, and rewarding.After my second year of teaching I left for Montpellier, France on a scholarship to study international business for a year as part of an exchange program. Following that year of study I was able to remain in France for an additional four years.In my spare time I volunteer helping serve meals to the community's unhoused at a local church, I like staying abreast of world events, practice martial arts, yoga, and ride my bike just to name a few.

I love helping the next generation by passing down my love for music and helping them sharpen their skills in this wonderful and fun art. I also love writing and would love to help you learn creative or academic writing. I've taught music professionally since 2011, as well as English since 2017. I took many music education courses and received high marks for writing at Southeast Missouri State University, where I majored in music and earned my Bachelor's degree. I'd love to provide you a fun learning experience in subjects like piano, singing, music theory, composing, English, reading, writing, and acting. I believe in making the lesson relevant to the student's interests and learning style. I love being a lively teacher, even animated if it fits a student's personality, but I also work well with more serious students. Either way, I still love to infuse humor and joy into the lessons while helping the student reach important and meaningful goals.

I am a recent graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in BioMedical Science with a focus in Organic Chemistry. I am working on applying to medical school for the Fall of 2017, in hopes to become an orthopedic surgeon. While being premed major I also played football through the university and was a full time student athlete at the NCAA Division 1 level. While attending Southeast Missouri I was also a tutor on campus through the university, helping students in courses like; Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Biology, and Physiology.I have a level 2 CRLA certification for tutoring with more than 24 hours of total training, and over 250 total hours of tutoring through Southeast Missouri State University.
