I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Political Science. Since graduation, I have lived in Rome working as a nanny and teaching preK and school aged children English, recruited for technology, telecommunications, and banking clients, homeschooled my own children, and gone back to school for a graduate degree in Applied Linguistics. I am a certified ESL instructor with both TEFL and TESOL certifications as well as English for Business Purposes, TOEIC Preparation, IELTS Exam Preparation. I spent a great deal of time during the recent COVID school distance learning tutoring students as well as my own 3rd grade daughter and homeschooled my 8th grade son. I continue to tutor Chinese teens who I taught English to during the summer. I truly enjoy working with students and personalize the lessons to their learning styles and personalities. Most importantly I want them to feel comfortable and confident with me and our tutoring partnership. We will work together as a team to reach their goals.

I have recently completed my undergraduate degree, with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Computer Science, which I earned in 3 years with a 4.0 GPA. During my time as a student, I worked as a peer tutor where I educated and assisted over 100 students through a wide variety of topics in programming, mathematics, and other peripherally related subjects. I typically focus on tutoring mathematics from pre-algebra to calculus and programming fundamentals. It is my belief that there is no such thing as a bad student, just an unprepared teacher.
I truly believe that with the right support, every student can feel confident and successful in math, even if it hasn't felt that way before. My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and focused on building real understanding, not just memorization. Over the past eight years, I've worked with middle school, high school, and college students on everything from Pre-Algebra to College Math and Business Math. I've also helped students prepare for big exams like the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT by breaking down tough concepts and sharing practical test strategies that work. I have a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science and a master's in Mathematics. I'm currently a college instructor and have been teaching at the college level for the past four years. This experience has taught me how to explain complex ideas in ways that are clear, relatable, and even fun. Every student learns differently, and I make it a priority to adapt my lessons to match your learning style.

I first came into tutoring while attempting to find a teaching position in Frisco ISD. It was completely by chance, and I've loved tutoring ever since! The type of instruction I can perform is special when I'm interacting with 1 or 2 students compared to a classroom. It feels like I am really able to teach the students what they need.I graduated from Texas A and M Commerce in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in psychology, but I knew I wanted to do more, so I started training to become a teacher and in 2017, I was fully certified. I am a graduate of Texas A & M University-Commerce. In 2017, I did my internship in a 5th grade class and an ESL kindergarten class then I received my Masters in Education. I enjoy being a part of student's success. In 2018 I taught Bilingual kindergarten students. I enjoyed watching them grow in their learning but my permit expired so I substituted until I found a school with a school culture I was comfortable with. Then a High School principal offered me a job as a Debate and Digital Arts and Animation Teacher. For the most part it was so satisfying to watch students engaged using different online software programs which contributed to their success in other classes. In Debate I taught students persuasive writing because it helped them be more confident when they debated each other and in their English classes. Overall I love watching students be successful in their other classes from my teaching. I tutored students after school with the online software programs: coding, animating creating websites, presentation and eportfolios.
I have worked with young children for over sixteen years in a variety of roles and settings. Before becoming a public elementary school teacher, my experience included child/day care centers, Pre-Schools, after-school programs, private tutoring, substitute teaching, and owning and operating my own licensed child care center for several years. Educating children is my passion and all I have ever done!
