I am very experienced and fluent in mathematics and science subjects. I have currently finished my studies as an Aerospace Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. My experience comes from study groups at school, and having several students help each other on any area of any subject. Particularly, I've learned to pick up when someone actually knows the subject and when they don't as well. If there are any doubts/misconceptions on any area, I can easily clarify them with real life examples that can help the development of the learning process. Most of the time this makes it much easier and interactive! I work very hard to get the job done, and I'm continuously growing and becoming a great tutor.

I am a senior at UT Arlington studying mechanical engineering and German. I enjoy tutoring German because I have real passion for the language and culture. I enjoy any opportunity to share my passion with others. I have lived, studied, and worked in Germany during my time as an undergraduate. I studied abroad in northern Germany for a semester and participated in an internship with BMW in southern Germany, where I had an opportunity to combine my passion for German and engineering. I have gained an exceptional understanding of mathematical concepts during my time as an engineering undergraduate. I enjoy tutoring math because I can show students how seemingly abstract concepts are used in real life.I have found the best methods of instruction are adapting to the student. To achieve the best results it is vital to discover what type of learner a student is, whether that be an audio, visual, or kinesthetic learner. I also try to impart my passion, along with my knowledge, to keep the student interested and intrigued in the subject matter. In my free time I enjoy being active and outdoors. I train and compete in Brazilian Jui Jitsu and Triathlons.

My goal as a tutor is to help YOU find what works for YOU. Over the years, I've heard many students claim they don't like writing, but I want to help you view the writing process as an opportunity to express yourself, and crystallize your ideas and beliefs. Let's approach writing as a chance to discover and refine your thoughts and opinions to paraphrase E.M. Forster, how do you know what you think until you see what you write? Your "way in" to writing can use what speaks to you we can start with music, sports, art, movies, dance, video games, exercise, knitting, books, sculpture, or anything else you love! Even though writing is work for all of us, it's a creative process that brings great rewards when you see what you've accomplished, and I'll do everything I can to help you be successful and enjoy the journey.

Thank You for taking the very first step towards success! Success is stemmed by diligence, and lots of practice. With my tutoring methods, teaching style, and experience, I am confident that I would be able to help your child master the material they are struggling with. If you are looking for a diligent, patient tutor who will be 100% dedicated towards helping your child master the material, then you have come to the right place! I am very passionate about tutoring, and helping others achieve their goals. I am also very personable and can relate to different situations. I am very patient with others and enjoy helping children succeed. As a college graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology. I love the Sciences, however, I am open to tutoring in all different disciplines including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Elementary Math, English, Grammar, Vocabulary, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, and TOEFL. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I have experience in tutoring students from ages 10-14, However, I am open to tutoring students of all ages, as my current tutoring methods are highly effective for students of any age. I urge students to continue practicing the subject nightly. For students who are struggling with the subject, I start by testing students on questions in the subject. This is done in order to assess what area of the subject the child is struggling with. Once this is known, I review the most basic questions and gradually increase in area of difficulty. This is done in order to prevent wasting time, tutoring children in areas in which they have already grasped the material.

I loved helping all of my students succeed in their classes, become better writers, and helping improve their confidence. My philosophy for tutoring is that I believe my sessions should be client led; that is, the client calls the shots and I am an impartial reviewer. I will ask what the student wants to focus on in the session and we will collaborate on mutually agreeable changes to the document. I then practiced as an ICU nurse for four years, during which I balanced working and school online to pursue my master's degree. It hurts my heart every time I see another student struggle with school work (especially math and chemistry), and that is why I wanted to become a tutor. I love helping other people, and I like the one on one sessions with students so I can make sure they are getting the help they need to succeed. I am a college student at the University of Texas at Arlington, I am pursuing a bachelors degree in Chemistry with a minor in Material Science Engineering. Although in credits I am a year ahead, which means I am technically a sophomore (and I am on track to graduate a year early), this is only my second semester in college. My teaching method is to not answer the question for the student but to ask them questions and bring up fundamental ideas in the subject so the student is able to answer the homework problem on their own. With this teaching style the student will become an independent thinker and will be able to answer a multitude of different problems by being able to think them through. This will also build a students confidence in the subject because the student will eventually be able to answer the question themselves without having to refer to notes which will make them feel as smart as they are becoming!

I believe that knowledge is the foundation upon which everyone can stand. Pursuit of knowledge is the greatest duty we have. Understanding that, knowing the areas that we lack can bring us our greatest fortune, and therefore self reflection is a tool we must use. When I tutor I focus on the concepts and ideas that the student feels uncomfortable with, because that is where the most growth can occur. Practice makes us better, and guidance helps us grow.
