I'm currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech. Like you, I believe that seeking help is a key to success. Perhaps certain subjects do not come easily to you. Or maybe you need some extra motivation to put you on the right track. Whatever it is, I was in your same shoes, and I can help. If you give me the opportunity, I will work diligently with you to achieve those academic goals. My tutoring background includes two years of volunteer tutoring in a student-led organization at my undergraduate college. In addition to my experience, you will find me an open and engaging teacher who will challenge you to approach problems in a logical way. As such, I am looking forward to working with you and wish you the best in your academic pursuits!

Don't worry. You can do this! I'm just here to help.I'm an MSc Systems Engineer from Kennesaw State University. My BSc in English is from the United States Naval Academy, where I studied nuclear power and taught remedial classes to adult peers. My work history is mostly offshore pipelining in the Gulf of Mexico, including a lot of immersive international travel. That means I've been privileged to apply math and engineering education to real problems for real people. Technical writing for clients and regulators has kept my formal English concise, clear, and correct. My joy is teaching math and English you'll actually use - not just what's on the next test. Learning should be about living!

I bring energy and energize! I am committed to lifelong learning and always improving myself and others. I am excited to share my experiences in order to show that education CAN BE fun and that it can open many doors for you in life.... it's just all about perspective!I attended the United States Naval Academy and was a linebacker for the football team from 2011-2015. I earned my Bachelors of Science in History. The Naval Academy challenged me in ways I did not know were possible. I was tested every single day mentally, morally, and physically. The Naval Academy is an Engineering school and all students are required to take dozens of credits of technical STEM courses to include thermodynamics, electrical engineering, cyber security, physics, chemistry, calculus, and computer systems engineering. Not only was I pushed academically but I was pushed as a leader. You are expected to develop your own leadership style and practice it every day. I held numerous instructor and leadership positions while at the Naval Academy and found my love for teaching.Upon graduation, I was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps my job as a Financial Manager. My passion for finance was sparked once I began my work as a financial manager. I applied for grad school and began my MBA with a concentration in finance shortly after from LSUS. It was at this point that I knew that I wanted to make finance a career. I currently hold the Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant and Retirement Income Certified Professional Designations. I also have great experience preparing others for the SIE, Series 65, and Life, Health, and Accident Insurance Examinations.I am excited to get to know you and your goals and desires!

I currently teach college mathematics at a private university. I am a favorite of both my high achieving students and my students who are having trouble. I try to make math interesting (it actually is) and I truly care about my students. Helping students who do not grasp the material quickly and getting them to understand is the most rewarding thing I do. I believe that all students can master mathematics and usually find that there is either some underlying but simple problem that needs to be overcome and the student will succeed. Often, a failure to fully understand some basic arithmetic or a lack of sufficent repetitions of the assigned material material is the cause of a problem. Both can be overcome with some extra work and understanding.Higher level mathematics is simply elegant extensions of the fundamental principals we learned in lower level mathematics. Some of the symbols may look difficult, but beyond that and as in learning a language, familiarity through repetition and immersion makes it second nature.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I have a Bachelors degree and two Masters degrees in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Georgia. All of my degrees were earned with at least a 3.9 GPA and I earned the honor of being named the top math major from my undergraduate institution when I graduated. I have also had the pleasure of teaching mathematics at two different colleges and started tutoring math and physics over 20 years ago. Please allow me to accompany you on the exciting journey of exploration into math and physics!
