As a native Houstonian, I am a proud product of the Houston Independent School District. Many of my best childhood memories occurred within the walls of Herod ElementarySchool, Sharpstown Middle School, and Lamar High School. I attended Texas SouthernUniversity's honors program majoring in Biology and am now a graduate student at theUniversity of Houston-Victoria studying Biomedical Science and Film. My mother, asmall-business owner/educator and my father, an electrical engineer instilled the value ofeducation in me at an early age. I learned a lot of my teaching style from them; patience, repetition, organization, and motivation to name a few. I began tutoring my cousins inmy youth who struggled with math, science, or english. In college, this continued as Itutored underclassmen in the biological sciences, organic chemistry, algebra, and writing. After graduation, I had a natural inclination to service students in the classroom as a highschool biology teacher for two years in HISD. Now, as I continue to pursue my academicendeavors in graduate school, I wish to be able to tutor and share my unique experienceswith our youth in hopes of enlightening their perspective of academia and life in general.I am fun loving, personable, and can relate to the younger generation through variouscommonalities; school, sports, music, social media and more. I look forward to meeting youand your child and taking his/her progress to the next level!

Hi! My name is Adelle Flores, and I'm an experienced tutor and teacher who is ready to help you (or your child) succeed.I graduated in the top 5% of my high school class at Katy High School and went on to attend the University of Houston (GO COOGS!). I graduated from UH in May of 2018 with a degree in Biology and minor in Medicine and Society. I participated in the Honors College while at UH as well.I currently attend the University of Houston - Victoria in Katy, Texas and am working on my Master of Business Administration.Overall, my academic courseworks highlights include the following: Calculus 1 & 2, Statistics for the Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Great Books (Literature), History of Medicine, and business topics such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and Economics. My teaching pedagogy involves working with each individual student to develop a plan for their success: every student is starting at a different point, and I make an effort to meet them where they are and walk with them through their learning journey instead of pulling them up to where they "should" be right away. I switch between learning styles in order to make sure that students understand the material in the way that makes sense to them. Individualization is at the core of tutoring and why students seek it, so lessons should be given in the same way.I'm very communicative and connected in to my students and their needs. I'm also willing to drive throughout the Houston area if you are interested in In-Person Tutoring.Let's get started!

I am a retired Army Veteran and a undergraduate from the University of Houston-Victoria with honors( cum laude). While serving in the Army I was an Instructor and I also studied to become a math teacher, but changed majors into Finance. My philosophy in teaching is to try to keep it as simple as I can by using analogies and references that is unique to each person and their way of absorbing information. The subjects I enjoy teaching within Finance are understanding Fundamental Analysis( financials such as 10Q and 10K), this goes with earning season or when companies report earning. Technical Analysis, which is understanding how to read a chart that includes candles, SMA, MACD, RSI and Divergence. I also teach economics and how economics is applied to the Stock market. Other subjects I teach are understanding Bonds, Credit Spreads, Economy Cycles, Simple and Compound Interest within Excel, ETFs, Options, Equities, mutual funds, and rules and regulations in the Finance industry.
