I am an intermediate school teacher and I enjoy helping students reach their full potential. They are the future after all. I have been tutoring, training, and teaching for a combined 10 years.I have my bachelor's degree in elementary education from Fayetteville State University. While studying here, I have tutored college students in the Natural Science for three semesters. I love science and math, so this was an enjoyable experience.I'm currently pursuing a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Science from University of Texas at Arlington.Prior to obtaining my degree, I served in the US Navy for 10 years. I planned and implemented training regularly at my command.I can tutor all elementary (K-6) core subjects: ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

I have been teaching for 13 years. I have taught bilingual (Spanish) classes for 1st and 5th graders and AP Spanish Language and Culture. I have also worked with Varsity Tutors for seven years. I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in Bilingual Education. My certifications include early childhood to 6th grade in all subjects and Spanish from beginner to advanced. I hold a Texas Principal Certification from Angelo State University. I was named LULAC Chapter Bilingual Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year, Campus Teacher of the Year for 2019-2020, and Campus Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2023, I was awarded the recognition of Master Teacher by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). I have participated in decision-making committees in collaboration with TEA to help develop appropriate testing materials for students. In my free time, I love reading, cooking, jogging, and, most importantly, spending time with my family. I am married, and have two children.

I am a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on political rhetoric and my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, and Howard University School of Law where I received my Juris Doctor. After graduation, I traveled extensively and took time, when available, to tutor students in a variety of subjects. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Political Science, and History. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
