Hello students! My name is Joy Williams and I taught school for 13 years. I love teaching! I love the well-being of my student's academics. Reading is my favorite subject. I was a tutor for the entire 13 years of teaching. I started my tutoring in the morning for students who could not stay after school, it is important for students to read and understand what they are reading.

Everyone can learn, if they have the desire. My goal is to empower my students while understanding their learning styles, gaining a better idea of their perspective of the world, and to thereby teach them through their perspective for maximum success. Education is my passion. If my students aren't successful, how can I be?

Hi,I'm Friday Faraday (Pronouns: They/Them) and I am a Adjunct Professor of English Composition and Written Communication at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago. I am also a published author of science-fiction and poetry, as well as a freelance editor. My goal here is to make sure that your writing is clear and structure. That your message is just as clear and to give you the confidence to handle any type of writing. I welcome any questions that you have during our sessions. I like to be honest, and that means not just pointing out things that need to be improved, but things that you are good at. I look forward to helping in anyway possible.Outside of teaching, I am huge fighter for LGBTQ+ rights, intersectional feminism, and the rights of POC. I take part of as many marches possible and I use my writing to shine a light on those issues.
Aviation has been my life since I was a kid; it was model airplanes hanging from the ceiling and launching model rockets in the park until I was old enough to join the U.S. Air Force. There, I learned how to fix airplanes and keep them flying I worked primarily on the modified Boeing 707 AWACS. After 12 years and enough experience to earn my A&P license, I moved over to the civilian world with Alaska Airlines. Many years and many roles later, life took me to Ohio, and I finally had the opportunity to learn to fly. It was a lifelong dream come true!I earned my Private Pilot lessons at Clermont County Airport, home of Sporty's Pilot Shop, just outside of Cincinnati. (If you are ever near there on a Saturday, they have free hot dogs and (mostly true) pilot stories starting at noon.) Whilst training I also worked at a corporate jet management company in Cincinnati. Knowing that flying was the profession I wanted to pursue, I moved to Louisville and completed the rest of my certifications with ATP Flight School. After receiving my last certification, I moved to Arizona, where my wife and I currently reside.Instructing is a privilege to me, so I take it seriously and believe it is the instructor's duty to provide information in the best way, for the most impact, for each student. I view the role of instructor as a guide to aviation, introducing students to the wonders of flight, but safely and within standards. Tutoring allows me to emphasize the ground knowledge and best prepare students for the oral portions of their checkrides.
Uplifting others with effective scientific and skills training. Training science, engineering, mathematics and technological development for all, especially, for future leaders.
I have always wanted to become a teacher, since I was three years old. My dream is to have a positive impact on the student's lives. My goal is not to only teach the child the subject, but to teach him/her how to become independent. I love seeing how the student changes right in front of my eyes.
Growing up, books were a way to escape and live in another world or time. That love of reading, has carried on into my adult life.I became a teacher after I was encouraged by my daughter's second grade teacher. The decision to choose Special Education was fostered from watching my sister and other children struggle with reading, writing, math, and other studies. I've been fortunate enough to watch my students learn, grow, become confident, self-advocate, and achieve in furthering their education or skills after high school. It is without a doubt the best feeling in the world to see a student years down the road, being a successful adult with families of their own.I believe that children who are given the right tools, can easily achieve anything. Learning isn't just about getting the right answer - it's about finding the path to the answer.

Hello there. I am a certified teacher with a conglomerate of experience. Among my professional experiences, I have worked with all ages in various capacities, most recently teaching math intervention at the middle school level. I am a trained professional, but also consider teaching to be among my natural abilities and something that I love doing.
With the right teacher, mastering a subject can be much easier than trying to do it by yourself. Teachers and students need to work together to accomplish this.

Education is an art, not a science. Art must start with high expectations and adaptability for students to learn. Standards, expectations, and positive classroom management play integral parts in this educational journey and can impact students greatly. High standards need to come from the teacher and the students, each pushing each other beyond expectations. Both have a responsibility to push each other to achieve, which leading to success.Preparation from both can take many forms:Creating an engaging curriculum that offers a variety of opportunities for practice and success which could include direct learning, cooperative groups, project-based learning, team teaching, cross-curricular units, portfolio, and self-reflection. Both will increase their knowledge base and will help with not become stagnant. Both should be seeking aid and thoughts from mentors, professors, and people in the community. Committee hours for assistance each other, parent communication, and extracurricular activities involving the whole class or part of it as needed.Researching, then choosing a classroom model that fits teaching style and age appropriateness.Student and professor need to read and search topics for discussions before getting into a class. Each should try to find details that will surprise, surpass, context to prior knowledge to make a subject more interesting to the class. Each topic is discussed should be connected to other topics, both within the class, other classes, and the real world. Challenge each other, leads to all involved reach new heights in their learning. Team learning includes admitting and taking responsibility for mistakes, which creates a safe atmosphere to take risks. We all are capable of going beyond each paradigm to find success. It a dysfunction to our students, when the class exceptions are less because of busy schedules, family life, special needs, hard circumstances, or anything for the outside of academia. Teaching to the individual with everyone challenging that specific student helps to pushes expectations and gains self-esteem as well as academic progress for all.A positive classroom makes it safe and free from barriers to learning. Professors need to model taking risks, so students can see professors working on projects as well. Classroom examples and everyone doing projects from students to professor alike. Everyone should be comfortable taking risks within this safe environment.Education is inevitably a well-thought mental process. This journey is so important to learning and planning is essential. Creating progressive curriculum, and a safe, positive classroom allow the dream of learning to take places all around. "Success is a journey, not a destination." (Sweetland, 2001).

I also enjoy teaching math and helping students build number sense and confidence in their mathematical abilities. As a passionate educator, I strive to share that passion for learning with students and fellow adult learners. Helping students understand how the learning applies to real life and discovering connections between topics is inspiring and motivates the heart and mind to learn even more. Building learning relationships with students is always gratifying. I enjoy learning as much from my students as they hopefully do from me!

I am a special education teacher, I have been working with students with disabilities for 8 years. I teach math, ELA, and tutor in all subjects I believe all students can learn. I believe that everyone is important, that meeting students where they are is the best way to encourage them to move forward to where they want to be.
While the original intention for obtaining my teaching degree was to better help my child through his educational struggles, I soon realized that my son was not the only one who needed help. That is when I made the decision to expand my horizons so that I could assist all children through the learning process. When it comes to tutoring students, I believe my unlimited amount of patience and my nurturing personality are some of my assets. I am also highly organized and pay a great attention to detail. When it comes to a computer I am well-versed and have the ability to find a variety of information online that will assist me in my tutoring. This will help me in providing creative instructional practices. I believe everyone learns in different ways so what works for one child may not work for another. If a topic is fun and interesting it will be remembered for the experience. Working hands on, keeping a child actively involved will keep he or she interested. The biggest complaint I hear is that school is boring. Using interactive activities centered on the child will keep them interested. Experiencing something for yourself, rather than reading about it, is a more memorable experience. And it is the experience, no matter how big or small, that the child will remember. My passion is to help children learn and succeed and I think that it shows in the way I interact with children and how they respond to me.
I have dedicated over 20 years to education. My experience spans from Kindergarten to College Algebra.Mathematics is a focus for me in the middle school and college level.I am more than prepared to support in all subject areas as needed.Life provides many opportunities all we have to do is take them.
As a passionate educator and coach, I love to see young minds blossom as students develop the same passion for learning that I have! I have worked as an educator for over 18 years, eight years of those working directly with Middle School and High School math students, and six years working with students who struggle with learning disabilities. I have tutored in grades 1-12 for anything from math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry), reading (phonics, comprehension, reading in content areas), writing (essays, research papers, novels), humanities (US and World History, Geography), and test prep (ACT, SAT, PERT, ASVAB). I specialize in making complex ideas and tasks simple and helping students see the connections between all learning.
Education is the greatest asset a person can have. It's important, but it should also be fun to learn. Many people think education in general is boring when they have to learn about something. I try to keep it light in nature, using humor to help the student be comfortable, but also assist them in gaining confidence while they learn.Using personal experience tends to be helpful also when tutoring. If the student can somehow relate, it is easier for them to retain the information. When I'm not trying to help someone learn, I enjoy spending time with my son reading, photography, wine tastings and crafting. Happy Learning

I have experience teaching students with ADHD, ADD, and Autism. My favorite things to teach are K-2 math and ELA (literacy) and 3-5 ELA and social studies. The passion I have for teaching comes from my love of history! I want to be a part of it, after I'm long gone, what better way to be a part than shaping the minds of our future leaders? I am a huge fan of learning through play and run a student-centered style environment and I believe with differentiation and rigor we can meet students where they are academically, socially, and emotionally, and take them where they need to be. Thus closing the learning gap.

I choose to make tutorials uplifting, supportive of student learning style/needs, and as "fun" as possible constantly aware that many topics in nursing or the sciences can seem rather dull or "dry" at times. I believe that every student is unique and capable of being coached to discover his/her inner academic strengths to ensure remarkable progress or advancements in Standardized Testing, Nursing, Leadership, English/Writing/APA papers, or Business courses. I review Test-Taking Strategies and Critical Thinking skills in each session. S U C C E S S is our mutual goal and the only option! My spare time is spent enjoying reading different genres, finding excitement and awe in all science fiction, and feeling warm and fuzzy over a good romance novel with a happy ending. I have worked with students in various capacities for the past 15 years. I love the one to one connection I get from working with students.
