Sometimes finding the right way to look at a problem is the hardest part of solving it. Early on I realized I am not a visual learner and unfortunately a lot of the early education system is built around that skillset. So, from the time I started school I was always looking for new ways to approach problems. As a result I am drawn to situations where I can solve problems and help people understand things better. Tutoring and teaching, for me, is the pperfect intersection of my skillset.Regarding my education, I recently completed my Associates of Life Sciences from Montgomery County Community College and am now working towards my Bachelor's degree in biology with a specialization in cell and molecular studies and a minor in psychology. I LOVE working with students! I recently finished my PhD at Cornell University in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology. I have spent the past 10+ years working with many different students in lots of different subjects including general and organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, MCAT test prept, SAT Chem Subject Test, and even general study and organizational skills! I have worked with high school students, undergraduates, pre-med students preparing for the MCAT, and adults who have gone back to school. I love science and I enjoy sharing that love of science with students. It really makes me happy watching students get excited about doing well in these subjects and helping them succeed towards their future goals.

My passion for education and interest in helping students is the perfect combination to serve as a tutor. I have a wide range of knowledge in subjects related to science, math, life sciences, public health and writing. I additionally have counseled high school students through the college application process and can provide valuable study skills and organization tips from my educational experiences.

I have a B.A. in Journalism/Communications from Temple University and am currently working on my M.A. in TESOL at West Chester University. I work as a graduate assistant in the University Writing Center at WCUPA and coordinate the Conversation Partners program, which I also developed and implemented. I worked as a tutor at Burlington County College for two years where I focused on assisting students taking composition, literature, and ESL/ELL courses. I love to cook, bake, make candy, read, and travel abroad. I love experiencing new cultures and seeing everything the world has to offer. I was an exchange student in high school and spent time in Russia. During college, I studied in England.
