With a master's degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's degree in History from William Jewell College, I bring a rich academic background to my tutoring practice. I have over two years of experience tutoring a diverse range of subjects, including AP U.S. History, AP World History, and Spanish at various levels. My passion for teaching stems from my belief that education is a collaborative journey; I strive to connect with my students by understanding their goals and interests, which allows me to tailor each session to their unique needs. I enjoy fostering a supportive and engaging environment, where learning is both effective and enjoyable. As a native Spanish speaker, I take pride in helping others master the language, emphasizing pronunciation and cultural nuances, while also instilling a curiosity for history that connects past events to contemporary society. My adaptable teaching style and dedication to student success make me a committed and enthusiastic tutor.

I'm passionate about learning and teaching! I graduated in 2013 from William Jewell College with a degree in Biology. I am currently in the process of preparing to apply to and attend medical school in the 2016 school year. After graduating from William Jewell, I had the opportunity to teach experiential Marine Biology on Catalina Island in California (Catalina Island Marine Institute). I worked with students of all ages (3rd-12th grade), and besides biology, I taught students how to snorkel, kayak, and love the outdoors! I am certified by Varsity Tutors to teach general science, life science, earth science, physical science, environmental science, and ecology.I also love reading and writing. I am an avid reader and love expanding my personal library. While an undergrad, I worked in the Writing Center helping students write and edit their college papers.Outside of school/work, I am an adventurer. I love exploring new places (urban or wild). While in California, I got hooked on snorkeling and spearfishing. In Missouri, I focus my free time on cultivating relationships around the city, woodworking, thinking about international travel and spending time with my girlfriend!I also currently work part-time as a substitute teacher. I have spent a lot of time teaching and talking with teachers about student achievement. I look forward to helping you achieve your highest potential in whatever academic pursuit you undertake!
Hello! My name is Bailey. I am a May 2020 graduate of William Jewell, a small liberal arts college in Missouri and I will be attending Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in the Fall. I excelled in numerous AP tests in high school and the LSAT during my undergraduate career. I find a great deal of joy in tutoring students in these subject areas so I hope to get the opportunity to work with you soon.
I graduated from William Jewell College with a Bachelor's in Music. While I have a broad spectrum of areas that I enjoy studying and tutoring, math is one of my favorites. Back when I was in high school, my friends always came to me for help with learning Math, and I always enjoyed helping them. Calculus is one of my favorites in particular, because I enjoy seeing my students realize that, while it is kind of intimidating at first, Calculus is just as easy as the math that came before it. I also enjoy helping students learn to get comfortable with standardized tests like the ACT. I keep both of us in a good mood so that the test doesn't seem as frustrating as it used to be for them. The change in a student's outlook when they start enjoying what they are doing always cheers me up.In addition to tutoring and teaching, I also enjoy playing my clarinet, reading, listening to music and playing video games.
I have my masters in biomedical sciences and my bachelors in mathematics. I love hiking, walking my dog, and being with family. I am passionate about helping students understand material and feeling confident in their courses!
I believe all students can learn if met where they are. I enjoy helping students solidify math concepts and develop lasting math skills.
After teaching college for eight years and moving to the corporate world, I want to use my experience to help others improve their skills and understanding of English, Speaking, Business and Government.During my spare time, I can be found at a Royals game, reading, exploring the Nelson or at the Lake of the Ozarks.
I have been tutoring for close to 20 years. I enjoy helping students fill in the gaps when it comes to mathematics, preferably upper level subjects such as algebra, geometry and trigonometry. I also enjoy helping students improve their ACT scores with better test taking strategies.
