I graduated from Chapman University with magne cum laude honors in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I then worked as a chemist for a year and am now currently pursuing medical school.As a tutor , my goal is to show students how to improve their study habits and become self-sufficient in their academic careers.

Although it is difficult for me to choose a favorite, I would have to say essay construction and writing because I believe that a student's ability to express themselves intelligently and creatively is the foundation of a strong education as well as a successful career path.I graduated from Chapman University in 2011 and moved to New York City in order to pursue my associate's degree in fashion marketing at Parsons The New School for Design, where my coursework covered everything from business branding to marketing management. While completing my secondary degree, I worked for companies such as Rebecca Minkoff and Milk Studios. Today, I work in advertising for a luxury jewelry and watch brand, but the study of English and foreign languages remains close to my heart.Apart from my work in fashion and advertising, I am a runner, a cook, a traveler, and a collector of vintage clothing, watches, furniture, and novels. Hi! I'm Leah! I've been a teacher for 11 years now and have taught in both California and Connecticut. I have experience with 1st through 6th grade. I went to school at Chapman University a small private school in Southern California. I received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science but decided the law wasn't for me and went back and got my teaching credential and Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. I also spent 5 years teaching at the college level through both DeVry University and Westwood College. Most of the classes I taught were for beginning students or computer classes.In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and his 2 kids. They are 10 and 12 years old. My husband is currently in the military and this is the 2nd state I have lived in. I like working out by running or going to the gym to lift weights. I also like reading (when I'm not teaching).I'm very straight forward when it comes to my teaching style. I am a former English Teacher and I really enjoyed my time working with students. Although my career path has turned towards the Law, I still miss sharing my love of English literature and writing with others.As a former educator, I am deeply familiar with the many issues that students, Teachers, and schools face.
