Teaching is my passion. It is about meeting every student where they are at and giving them the confidence through instruction to attain anything they put their mind to. It is to know that they have the ability to achieve and the drive to make it happen. I live for the "aha" moment. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from Prairie View A&M University. After receiving my teaching certification from University of St. Thomas, I obtained my Masters of Education in Educational Technology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. I have been teaching about 18 years and I have taught from K through college levels. I have taught English, reading, math, science, social studies, computer applications and principles of Information Technology. Although I offer a variety of services my first loves are Math, Reading, and Computer Education. I am exited about helping students gain confidence and be successful. In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing educational games with my children and learning new things about different technologies.

I specialize in tutoring language arts and law. I am passionate about the language arts, and I might have been the only 8th grade student ever to be excited about diagramming sentences! I believe in a more relaxed method of teaching because frustration can occur easily while learning. By breaking down the material into pieces, I believe the difficulties a student faces become less overwhelming and he or she can focus on one piece at a time. This allows the student to have that "aha" moment as he or she begins to understand each piece, and then, it motivates the student to continue forward. I feel this approach can be used in almost any subject with any age student.

I think it's important to help out and give back to my community. I enjoy teaching and seeing that light of understanding come on in a persons eye when they grasp a concept they were having problems with before.

Hello! I graduated medical school at Temple University's Lewis Katz School of Medicine am pursuing a career as a physician specializing in radiation oncology! I also graduated summa cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology with a minor in Chemistry. I have also earned an MBA at Temple University. Additionally, I am earning a Masters of Education degree through Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. I have worked as a tutor at the high school and college level tutoring biology, biochemistry, and math. I have served as a tutor for my medical school for the last 4 years as well focusing on Step 1 and Step 2 CK tutoring. While I teach all subjects in 1st Grade, I am most passionate about Decoding, Reading, and Writing. In my experience helping struggling students in phonics, reading comprehension, and math skills, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for their educational career. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
