I grew up helping peers and family with subjects they seem to struggle in. I was always an independent learner but relaying what I learned and applying it has been a fairly easy job for me and would like to pass it on to others.Typically I relate the subject back to the individual to bring an enlightening and fun element to learning. I see that people tend to learn more efficiently and seem to handle and enjoy learning the subject they once faced with difficulty. By recognizing the diversity of linguistic backgrounds and cultures which characterize students and their families, I was able to design lessons from all content areas to build cultural awareness and appreciation throughout the curriculum. I was able to utilize my knowledge, skills, and cultural sensitivities to meet the needs of students whose primary language was other than English.As an instructor, I always strive to benefit my students by helping them achieve the knowledge and skills needed in order to reach their highest aspirations.

I am currently attending Baruch College (CUNY). I am majoring in Actuarial Sciences at Baruch.Throughout my academic career, both in high school and college, I have always been passionate about math and tutoring. This past year I have also tutored younger students who were prepping for the SHSAT.From my experience I have noticed students who are struggling in math only need a certain push to keep them on track. I firmly believe with the right help, students can not only be able to solve problems and understand material but they can approach tests with confidence. Math isn't impossible and I'm here to show my students that with a serious mindset they can succeed in their tests and should have no reason to be afraid.In my spare time I enjoy watching soccer, playing soccer, and performing magic.
