I have had the honor of working for Florida International University (FIU) for the past 14 years. I have held administrative roles throughout those years that supported students' academic success in pursuing their undergraduate and graduate degrees. I am fondly proud of the years of experience and success I've gained while working in academia and STEM education, including academic advising, undergraduate and graduate medical education, and higher education program planning and development. My desire to open doors for underrepresented students who have high hopes of entering professional fields and may not have the advantages of doing it on their own is the driving force behind my ability to maintain success in many of the positions I have held in academia.I obtained my BA in Public Administration from Florida International University in 2011 and completed my Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Organizations and Community Development in August 2019. As a native of Miami, I have had the opportunity to work in higher education for over 14 years in administrative roles that support students' academic success in pursuing their graduate degrees. After completing my undergraduate degree, I began working as the Graduate Senior Secretary for the Biology department at FIU. I worked directly with the Program Director and Dean for the College of Arts & Sciences in various areas, including admissions, graduate school support, and student academic success.In 2014, I transitioned into the medical education discipline as the assistant to the Vice Dean for Medical Education and Student Affairs at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University. In this role, I coordinated the medical school's entire accreditation process, curriculum development, faculty affairs, and Graduate Medical Education. Soon after, I returned to FIU and began as Student Affairs Program Coordinator at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In this position, I facilitated program planning and development for medical student wellness and academic support. After a year in that role, I became the Program Coordinator for the Office of Diversity & Inclusion at the medical school, developing and promoting programs and services designed to enhance the intersectionality of the medical schools' college community. Throughout my service in academia, many of my successes include the program development of the pipeline program, the Florida Scientific Training and Research (STAR) program; a multi-year academic and social enrichment program developed to prepare undergraduate minority students for a career in medicine, and the facilitation of a fundraising event that raised over $10,000 in scholarship for students historically underrepresented in medicine. In addition, I coordinated the National Pre-Faculty Career Development Conference for Trainees and Faculty, which brought together trainees, faculty, and senior leaders to share activities and best practices to better prepare college, graduate, and post-doctoral professionals to consider pursuing careers as educators and researchers in the STEM field.

Mathematics is my favorite subject. Any challenging problem I see, I keep trying to solve it and this has been the key to my Passion for Mathematics. I want to transfer my knowledge and experience towards mathematics to the students and help them do better.

Hi! I had difficulties in classes and school growing up and understand the importance of having support and encouragement to move forward and gain confidence. I have a big heart and a desire to help others empower themselves through guiding with patience and empathy. I am a non-smoker, music and animal lover and also love to read and continue to learn. I have a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling and an AA in Music theory and vocal performance. My approach is non-judgmental and I enjoy finding creative and fun ways to help students and client's reach goals. In my counseling field I have provided education classes to clients from children to teens. Throughout college I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children and assisted with reading, writing and math homework and have continued to assist students of all ages with homework, test prep and projects. I am a motivated scholar of Business Administration. With a B.B.A., Accounting, M.I.B., I have been able to achieve my goal of being a Ph.D. Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership Candidate.

I am a graduate of Florida International University and Barry University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Masters in Educational Leadership at Barry University. I have eight years of experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school English in the state of Florida. I am passionate about helping students academically while building up their confidence and self-esteem. I am a firm believer in appreciating life and setting oneself up for the future. In my spare time, I enjoy being a wife and mother to four children, reading, playing sports, and fishing.

I recently graduated from Florida International University with my Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering. Throughout my college life, I have seen college students looking from help in different courses. After my freshman year in college, I realized that I have the potential to help students. Then I decided to start tutoring college students who were struggling in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Once I started noticing that my tutoring improved the students' academic performances, it kept me motivated to continue tutoring since I was able to make a change in the students' academic life.

I earned my Master's degree in Professional Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. I am currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and have obtained most of my experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. I have worked with adults that have a variety of psychiatric diagnoses in improving maladaptive behavior to replace with appropriate behavior. I also have experience working within the school system with children and adolescents, as I hold a minor in education as well. I enjoy helping students reach their learning objectives by letting the student lead the lesson and be part of the discussion. I believe that for the student to achieve effective learning and progression that they must be included in the lecture. Behavior Analysis is my passion, and seeing students comprehend the content is personally gratifying for me. I believe that student achievement is a direct reflection of the teacher. If the student is achieving their learning objectives effectively, then I have done my job.

My passion for computer science ignited when I first interacted with a computer's graphical user interface, sparking a desire to understand the technology behind it. This curiosity propelled me to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science with a minor in Artificial Intelligence from Florida International University. With over three years of tutoring experience, I specialize in programming languages such as Python, Lua, and SQL, guiding students through the complexities of coding with a hands-on, project-based approach. I believe in fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and innovate. My commitment to helping students succeed is driven by a genuine enthusiasm for technology and its potential to create solutions for real-world challenges. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy developing games and applications, constantly seeking new ways to apply my skills and inspire my students.

I am a tri-lingual, marathon-ironman-running, International Baccalaureate program graduate with a Master's in Educational Psychology, a Bachelor's in English Literature, and 5 years of teaching experience at the middle, high school, and college levels. I like to make lessons hands-on and exciting while teaching students how they learn best to promote content mastery and intrinsic motivation. I've travelled the world with my students and have plenty of fun stories to share to inspire students, and I'm looking forward to being a part of whomever's journey crosses my path.

My teaching experience is in online teaching with technology and also within the classroom; helping students with learning disabilities learn using specialized learning methods.In my spare time, I love to go for runs on the beach or surrounded by nature. I love the water and to participate in activities on the water. Cooking is one of my passions and I like to try out or come up with delicious recipes. As well, I am a lover of the arts and creativity and I enjoy attending creative shows or showcases.

My time in school has developed my philosophy of valuing each student as an individual, as well as part of a community. I am to give students as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for their academic studies as well as future life.
