As a passionate educator from Greenville, Georgia, I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science from Georgia College and State University. With over 5 years of tutoring experience and 3 years teaching high school biology, chemistry, and AP Environmental Science, I currently instruct college-level Anatomy and Physiology. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a deep understanding of science as a process while tailoring learning experiences to each student's unique needs. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions. My commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; I run my own tutoring business, where I work with students of all ages, adapting my methods to accommodate different learning styles. I am dedicated to inspiring my students and instilling in them a love for science and learning.

I believe it is my responsibility as an educator to advocate for best practice, developmentally responsive curriculum, and challenging equitable learning environments for young adolescents. In order for the profession of "Teaching" to continue to make an impact on young adolescents there must be continued growth in educators and practice of professional development. My motivation for teaching is my love of sharing knowledge with someone and watching them grow. I enjoy the fact that I can share information with others and create opportunities for growth in knowledge. We all benefit from learning from one another and I believe we reap those benefits every day until the day we leave this earth. Whenever we grow it's an advancement for humanity. The students I serve must receive the best I can provide. This means I must continue to learn so that I can evolve and continue to share.
I am full time medical student in the Phoenix Metro Area. I have a passion for learning and helping others learn. As a former high school chemistry teacher, I always looking forward to helping students excel in their education, especially in science and writing. Growing up, I struggled to figure out I learned best and fought hard for grades, knowing one day I would want to attend medical school. Through being tutored myself, I was able to gain understanding of how I could tweak my learning styles, leading me to not only achieve the grades I wanted, but actually enjoy the process of learning. I would love the chance to help you do the same.
I graduated from Georgia College and State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Since graduation, I have worked as a vet tech for 10+ years and tutored students in high school and college in several areas including biology, chemistry, geometry, and anatomy and Physiology among others. My favorites to teach are physiology and geometry. I believe everyone learns differently and there is no one way to solve a problem. Being Neurodivergent, some of the biggest obstacles I had to personally overcome were finding my learning style and being able to apply that to the subject I was learning about. I enjoy helping students find that "ah-ha" moment and the subject actually clicks. In my spare time, I enjoy going to dirt track races and gardening.
I was walking out of the Douglas County High School theater, one step closer to graduating. I had finished my last International Baccalaureate exam. I sat in my car feeling exhausted, relieved. Reflecting on the last two years, I recalled teaching my friends and myself IB history to supplement our teacher's shortcomings, lounging in the local cafe practicing talking about the environment in Spanish, and waking up early on Saturdays to make sure I finished my extended essay the milestones in time for the deadline. I remember hoping that all of the hard work would come to fruition in a meaningful way.As an IB Diploma recipient, I can attest that valuing your education makes a positive difference not only in the number of opportunities available to you but also in your world view. I hope to be a positive influence for you like others have been for me.I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree at Georgia College and State University. My majors are Liberal Studies with a European Concentration and a Spanish Language and Culture major. My experiences as a GCSU student has honed my communication skills. Not only can I help you learn to write essays that are appropriate for registers, but I can also help you speak, write, and read in Spanish and understand the nuances of English and Spanish literature. I can give you the tools to analyze historical events in a meaningful and memorable way. I will help you reach your goals by using similar tactics that I utilize in my personal study groups. We will establish your goal and identify what is separating you from your goal currently. Then, we will make a game plan to overcome or circumvent that separation. Finally, we will execute this plan. This simple process, along with my materials and guidance, is the key to your success. I cannot wait to see you succeed.
I believe mathematics is beautiful and enjoyable and with practice and the right kind of instruction, everyone can significantly improve their math skills. This is the enthusiasm with which I approach each of my lessons.I graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Mathematics and Physics from Georgia College and a Masters in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University. I have 6 years of tutoring experience from being a tutor in College Algebra, a laboratory assistant for Physics and a teaching assistant for Pre-Calculus. These roles called for different levels of tutoring from lesson planning to grading. My expertise is in tutoring students at the high school and college levels in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Linear Algebra, and Introductory Physics. My main tools in tutoring are the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years and the ability to listen to the student's academic needs to achieve the desired success. To make it worthwhile, I thoroughly prepare for each tutoring session with concrete goals and action plans. After lessons, I evaluate performance and give feedback assigning areas to further work on. I strive to equip each of my students with new study skills that can be invaluable in their academic endeavors.
I am a graduate of Georgia College and State University (BA in Sociology with Minors in Spanish and International Studies) and Arizona State University (MA in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis). My name is Elizabeth. I received a BA in French and a BMT of Music Therapy. I have been teaching private music lessons for 3+ years now and tutored various subjects in and around Atlanta since 2015. My name is Sal Talluto. I am an English professor by trade. Many of my students are dual enrollment high school students, ESL students, and students coming back to school to change careers or after raising their children. This requires me to be able to meet each student at their current capability and guide them step by step toward improving their performance and reaching their academic goals. I take the same approach to tutoring. Over the last ten years of tutoring, I have helped students currently trying to pass their college classes, students taking the SAT, ACT, and GRE to apply to competitive colleges, and even those who didn't think they would make it to college. With a little help and a lot of determination, each student was able to achieve more than they thought possible.
