I am passionate about heling students because I believe that every child has the potential to learn and succeed. My experience working with students has shown me that, while some may need more practice or a different approach, they all have the ability to grasp new concepts when given the right support. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Georgia Southern College and a Master's degree in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders for Georgia College. These degrees, along with over thirty years of experience both in person and online, have equipped me with a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students, allowing me to tailor my teaching methods to each individual's learning style. I tutor Scienc, Social Studies, English/Language Arts, and Art. I find joy in each of these subjects for different reasons. Science excites me because of the hands-on nature and the wonder it sparks in students when they see concepts come to life. Social Studies facinates me because it offers a window into different cultures and historys, and I love sharing that knowledge with students. English/Language Arts is another one of the subjects that I enjoy teaching. I enjoy teaching English/Language Arts becuase effective communication and the ability to effectively communicate and express ideas are vital skills for success in life. My teaching philosphy centers around the belief that every child can learn. My tutoring style is build on positive reinforcement and gentle corrections. I strive to make learning engaging by incorporating games as well as the child's interest into the material.

I am full time medical student in the Phoenix Metro Area. I have a passion for learning and helping others learn. As a former high school chemistry teacher, I always looking forward to helping students excel in their education, especially in science and writing. Growing up, I struggled to figure out I learned best and fought hard for grades, knowing one day I would want to attend medical school. I graduated from Georgia College and State University where I received a Bachelors of Science in Biology. Since graduation, I have worked as a vet tech for 10+ years and tutored students in high school and college in several areas including biology, chemistry, geometry, and anatomy and Physiology among others. My favorites to teach are physiology and geometry. I believe everyone learns differently and there is no one way to solve a problem. Being Neurodivergent, some of the biggest obstacles I had to personally overcome were finding my learning style and being able to apply that to the subject I was learning about. I enjoy helping students find that "ah-ha" moment and the subject actually clicks. In my spare time, I enjoy going to dirt track races and gardening.

I am a graduate of Georgia College and State University. At first, I was an accounting major, but was drawn to the education side and received my Bachelor of Arts in Education with a focus on Mathematics. Before and since graduation, I have traveled extensively, tutoring children of ages ranging from 5 to 18. While working with the Georgia Baptist Children's Home, I tutored English to both Chinese and Spanish speaking indigent children of varying literacy levels. These children were in varying stages of either deportation or entrance into the US foster system. While I have a math background, I am also passionate about helping students who struggle to understand English. While living in Germany, I worked with German students who were taking classes in English as a second language. They were learning not only proper English grammar, but also how to navigate homonyms and homographs in which they were struggling. In my opinion, helping students who were stressed due to Standardized Testing was my niche. I endeavored to help students think about how they could make connections to the questions they were answering, this was whether it was in the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams, or extended Math word problems. I truly believe having a sound and well-rounded education is necessary for an improved quality of life. I strive to pass on the joy of being a life-long learner. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and also writing stories. Although I have a fondness for science fiction, I write all kinds of genre. I also enjoy spending quality time outside and swim time with my family and dogs.

My name is Sal Talluto. I am an English professor by trade. Many of my students are dual enrollment high school students, ESL students, and students coming back to school to change careers or after raising their children. This requires me to be able to meet each student at their current capability and guide them step by step toward improving their performance and reaching their academic goals. I take the same approach to tutoring. Over the last ten years of tutoring, I have helped students currently trying to pass their college classes, students taking the SAT, ACT, and GRE to apply to competitive colleges, and even those who didn't think they would make it to college. With a little help and a lot of determination, each student was able to achieve more than they thought possible.

I was walking out of the Douglas County High School theater, one step closer to graduating. I had finished my last International Baccalaureate exam. I sat in my car feeling exhausted, relieved.
