I am a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology. I have my Bachelors of Science in Psychology with Minors in Business Management and Health & Medical Sciences. I am a graduate of The College of William and Mary. Since graduation, I began working as a healthcare consultant in New York City. Although I love my job, I miss working with children. I've been teaching dance since I was 13 years old, and teaching has been a big part of my life ever since. My favorite age group to teach dance to was 5-10 year olds and I would love that opportunity to work with kids again. I believe that every child is capable of achieving their dreams and just need a bit of support in order to get there. I would love to be a part that journey for other kids. When I am not working, I love to travel, try out new cooking recipes, painting and of course dancing.

I am a young engineer with experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. I am a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. I have also worked previously in the education field teaching multiple subjects including math, science, and English from the elementary school level all the way to university students. I enjoy teaching most subjects but my favorite subjects to teach are any math or physics. From my experiences, I have developed a philosophy in that students learn best when they enjoy studying and are involved. So when possible, I try to approach teaching in a way that is not only informative but also interesting. I also try to guide students on the topics they struggle instead of just lecturing on principles and concepts as I feel that when students actively experience subjects, they are more likely to understand material and how to apply it. While I am not working, I enjoy traveling, playing sports (usually basketball), video gaming, and cooking.

I have a doctorate in Aerospace Engineering for Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia Tech. I left research opportunities because I love teaching students of all age groups. Everybody has a flair for something in life - I think I have it for teaching. I have worked as a faculty member at Georgia Tech., Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Oakland University and as a full Professor in India.I am always excited to teach interested students. I believe that dedication and inclination to learn beats mental aptitude. I was myself never the smartest kid in my class, but I always persevered and eventually became successful. So if you have the inclination to learn and have commensurate perseverance, please contact me, we will together work towards success!
Hey! I'm Sanjana, an engineering student at Georgia Tech with a love for statistics and computer science. Tutoring math and CS is super exciting to me. It's the stuff I get to learn about every day, so getting to share that energy with kids is something I'm really looking forward to. I want students to actually get why this stuff matters and hopefully inspire some of them to pursue it further down the road. Whether it's probability, coding, or anything in between, I'm here to make it click and help every kid feel way more confident in their own abilities. Learning should feel exciting, not scary!
I recently retired from a 37-year career in aerospace at Lockheed Martin. I was an engineer and have an Electrical Engineering Degree from Georgia Tech. Many years ago, when I was a student in high school and college my favorite subject was math. The main reason I enjoyed math so much was because my father was also an engineer (Graduate of the Coast Guard Academy) and very passionate about math, and he spent a lot of time with me solving math problems. He made math seem fun! During my career at Lockheed Martin, I always enjoyed mentoring and training new hires. Over the years, I've found that I enjoy teaching and I have a lot of patience explaining technical concepts. I have been complimented many times by my former colleagues about my excellent teaching skills. Now that I'm retired and have the time to teach, I am excited about finding creative ways to make math fun for my students. To me, solving math problems and solving puzzles are synonymous. In addition to math, I'm also interested in teaching basic computer programming concepts and the game of chess. Let's make math fun again!
I am a second-year undergraduate student studying Chemical Engineering with a biotech concentration at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My favorite subjects to learn are math and science, but I mostly tutor math. I believe learning should be fun and hands-on so that students actively learn and want to learn the material. Outside of school, I am the Finance Chair for the Asian American Student Association at Georgia Tech, I lift and stay active, and I love baking and cooking!
Hello! I'm Kenna, a Chemical Engineer within the Semiconductor Processing industry. I also have professional experience in the Energy industry. My B.S. in Chemical Engineering is from Georgia Tech -- Go Jackets! I've lived all over the world. Right now, I am a proud Texan!Though I'm an engineer by day, what fulfills me is helping students. In college, I was a 1:1 tutor for the Center for Academic Success. I managed my own schedule, developed my own resources, and supported 10+ college classes ranging from Linear Algebra to English. In high school, I was a classroom assistant for Engineering for Kids, a national organization aimed at developing lesson plans to make STEM topics easy + fun! Plus, in my free time, I've enjoyed volunteer tutoring for the elementary-aged children of the Clarkston Community Center in DeKalb County, GA.Let's meet! Engineering or non-technical, grad school studying or elementary school homework, I can't wait to help you.
As an undergraduate in the Honors Program at the University of Georgia, I studied Physics and Astronomy. During this time I helped found the first laboratory at my university dedicated to the research and development of small satellites, and through this experience I earned an internship at NASA Langley Research Center. After graduating, I completed one year of a PhD program at Georgia Tech in Ocean Science and Engineering, and I am now pursuing my biggest passion, marine conservation, in Wilmington. I began tutoring math, chemistry, and physics back in high school, and have continued since then. In college, I was a peer learning assistant (sort of like a teaching assistant) for a physics class that catered toward non-physics majors. Thus, I am experienced in tutoring both high school and college students with a range of experience in math and science. The subjects I can help with are math (algebra, calculus, and anything in between), physics (high school and college), and even flute and music theory. My favorite subject to help students with is physics, because I enjoy helping people think about problems from new perspectives and empowering them to tackle a subject traditionally seen to be so challenging. When I am tutoring, I operate by the philosophy that everyone is capable of learning new things, and that math and science are not as difficult as they seem on the surface. I always encourage students to believe in their abilities, and I am never judgmental of anyone's learning style and pace. I can successfully guide students to breaking difficult concepts apart into smaller pieces to make them easier to understand. Outside of tutoring, I am a musician, with my main instruments being flute and ukulele. I love hiking, baking, painting, making friends, doing yoga, and reading books. My favorite animal in the world is a humpback whale, and I want to dedicate my life to protecting them and other cetaceans. As a lover of all things math, science, nature, and music, I would love to share my knowledge and passions with anyone who reaches out.
In 1992, Teen Barbie was heard saying, "Math Class is tough," which was often misquoted as, "Math is hard." Math Class can be tough and math can be hard, but it doe not have to be. Even though math always has one right answer, there are many different paths to get there. Just as we find our own groove to the music, we all must find our own math groove. As a teacher, I am their DJ as well as their instructor helping them to determine which genre of music speaks to them as well as introducing them to new material. My goal is for my students to be autonomous and be able to solve complex problems without prompting from me. My students need to feel safe and encouraged not only to succeed but also to feel safe to fail. We sometimes learn the most from our failures, and my students must understand that at times, we all make mistakes, but we must learn from them and keep striving for success. Success will come to each student in his or her own time and in his or her own way. I am just a catalyst to help make it happen.
My name is Kristine, and I graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemistry. Science classes were always my favorite when I was in school. I have recently tutored in both Math and Science. In 2010, I taught English in Taiwan to elementary school students.I am a good tutor because I am passionate about helping other people learn. Not only do I enjoy teaching, but I am also a calm and patient tutor. I want to help other people understand the material and also have a good experience while they are learning.
Hi my name is Joseph. I'm currently working full time within B.E.S.T. Academy High School tutoring and mentoring students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I find myself to be easy to talk to and take pride in my tutoring experiences.
