I am a graduate from Kutztown University with a degree in secondary education and a concentration in English; I am certified to teach English to grades 7-12. Since I have graduated, I volunteered to teach at the local Sunday School and worked at a day school as a before and after school teacher. I have experience with various age groups with different levels and understanding of English. Although English has always been my passion, I understand many do not feel the same; therefore, I believe I have the ability to make English understandable and enjoyable to students. I am currently a Senior at Kutztown University majoring in Cellular/Molecular/Microbiology. I initially went to college at Millersville University fresh out of high school, but struggled to figure out what I wanted to do with my time there. I left school after a few years and began working full-time as a manual laborer. Over time the desire to finish what I started grew immensely and I returned to school several years later to finish my degree after. As of now I have a 3.93 GPA and am a member of four honors societies. What I enjoy most about tutoring is seeing the growth in the students I work with and being a part of their success. I love to help students learn languages -- both written/spoken languages and programming languages! I taught German and coding for 18 years in a high school and have been tutoring in coding and running a middle school coding club since retiring from that career.
