I am a graduate of University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Math and a Bachelor of Arts in German, with University Honors and Mathematics Honors. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate in Mathematics from North Carolina State University, and I love every second of it. Math is a huge passion of mine, only matched by my love for teaching and tutoring. I believe that everyone can do math, and helping students realize that is why I do what I do. Math is exciting and useful, and I think it isn't always portrayed that way in the classroom. I hope to bring that side of math out in one-on-one tutoring. When I'm not working or studying, I love to watch movies and read all kinds of books, though classics and fantasy are my favorite.

I am a recent graduate from North Carolina State University, majoring in Animal Science and a minoring in Psychology. I am working to eventually attend veterinary school. I was a member of the Honors program, a member of the Society of Research and Inquiry, the Sustainability Committee, and the Society of Public Scholarship. I have been working since the age of thirteen and most of my recent jobs have applied to the field of animal science, therefore, the sciences are my specialty. My teaching style is hands-on, utilizing me as a demonstrator or model, and allowing the student to apply that knowledge on their own. I appreciate questions from the student, curiosity, and student participation. I utilize real world examples to exhibit the significance of the topic and encourage interest and passion in the acquisition of knowledge. My first tutoring experience came from the Learnworks program that focused on helping elementary school students that were referred to the community center for behavioral problems, learning disorders, and trouble with English. I spent over ten hours a week for two years in high school tutoring and leading the Cooking and Drama clubs. I worked with the same third and fourth grade students each day, and helped bring their grades up. In college, I have privately tutored college students in both English and Biology courses and helped many friends with their academics. I also worked for a tutoring company while at North Carolina State University and tutored math. The courses I tutor include: Chemistry, Animal Science courses, English courses, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Economics, Public Speaking, SAT and ACT preparation, and Psychology courses. I have created my own curriculum multiple times for math courses such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. I work with students on study skills and assist certain students by providing homework help. Overall, I am a well-rounded intellectual with social skills and a passion for helping students.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University, a Master of Education from NC State University, and an Educational Specialist degree from East Carolina University. I will also start work on my Ph.D. in the Spring of 2021. I have worked extensively in the field of education - from teaching special education to working as a consultant for the state department of public instruction. I am passionate about special education and reading as a subject area. As a lifelong learner, I greatly appreciate the importance of education. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hanging out with my rescue dog, walking and DIY projects.
I am a graduate of North Carolina State University. I received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Sciencein Mathematics Education. Since graduation, I have moved 8 times with my husband who is a Marine, tutoring, teaching, and assisting children in many different classroom settings. I especially enjoyed being an AVID tutor and working with small groups of students to further understand their current mathematics struggles. While I have worked with students in a broad range of subject areas, my passion lies in mathematics. When students reach that AHA moment, the pride and wonder they experience is so pure and motivating! I also have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with students and getting to hear their stories as well as working in a subject I love, motivates me to continue to inform and support young people. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, hiking, and playing games with my two children ages 11 and 13.
I have been an educator for 12 years and a lover of literature my entire life. As an educator, my favorite thing is to help someone understand how to find joy (or at least comfort) in reading and writing. I believe that these skills open the entire universe to a person, whether it be in a fictional realm or in the boardroom. I received my BS in English Education at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, earned National Board Certification, and have recently completed a MS in Technical Communication through North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. I have spent my career working with students of all levels, including EC, Honors, and AP. I have also spent much time tutoring students to be successful on the verbal portion of the SAT. In my free time, I of course enjoy reading, but a close second would be traveling. I love a good road trip, and I'm also trying to expand my travels - hopefully going overseas soon!
I'm a seasoned educator who has been tutoring privately and professionally since I was undergraduate student at North Carolina State University. After taking 2+ years off (of tutoring) to do some adjunct teaching at a local college, I'm looking forward to once again working with K-12 students to provide supplemental learning assistance in various subjects and help families reach the educational goals set for their children. I look forward to meeting students and families!

I graduated from Hillsdale College in Michigan with majors in History and Latin. Currently I am working on my Master's degree in Public History and North Carolina State University. I have tutored history and Latin through academic honors societies at Hillsdale. I did two semesters of history tutoring and 4 semesters of Latin tutoring. This included helping college students at all levels and also some high school students. In addition, I have been involved in many school programs at several historic sites, teaching history to primarily grade school students. This is one of my favorite ways to teach history--I like being able to bring the past to life. I am dedicated to helping students understand the subjects they are studying and develop a passion for them. I want to create a pleasant learning environment and allow my students to find their potential. Outside of academics, I love spending time in museums (after I earn my Master's, I want to work as a curator). I also enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Polymer and Color Chemistry. Throughout my time in college I found myself aiding my peers in the major courses we shared. It was through those experiences that I learned I had a unique way of helping others comprehend concepts and that sparked my interest in joining a tutoring service. I hope to share my knowledge in both chemistry and physics to help students overcome their hurdles in these subjects.
I have been teaching high school math for 15 years, and have taught everything from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus BC. I have taught math online for over 8 years, as well, in addition to teaching at a local community college. I love what I do!
I am currently a junior working towards my bachelor's degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering at NC State. I have prior tutoring experience working with a local Raleigh tutoring company called Brain Trust Tutoring. I can tutor any of the low-level Computer and Electrical Engineering courses, mathematics up to Calculus BC, physics up to Physics C, ACT and SAT test prep, and English. My tutoring style is that of allowing the students to be hands-on and actually work problems and then determining with them the right logic of how to approach different problems.
I recently graduated from NC State University with a bachelor's degree in English and Linguistics. I have experience tutoring non-native English speakers and I have taken a class about teaching ESL. I love using my creativity to teach hard concepts about English grammar or pronunciation. I am happy to personalize lessons to students' unique learning goals.
I like to break things down into smaller relatable scenarios for those who need it, but also enjoy showing students higher level problems that require the basic steps they are currently learning! Give students a reason to learn the material instead of just trying to teach it.

I am a recent graduate of North Carolina State University located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. I received my Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology in May 2021. I am interested in helping students reach their full potential because, as someone who used tutoring services for university courses, I know how much of a positive impact a tutor can have on a student. I believe with the right assistance, any student can be successful and I would like to be the help that someone needs so that they can reach their full potential.

I have been a 7th grade science teacher for the last two years. My content focus has been Astronomy, Physical Science, and Chemistry. I am also certified in Biology 5-8 and Biology 8-12. In my down time, I coach track and field and I love to run and read to de-stress.
My goal is to help students break down the wall that is so often built up against certain subjects. Everyone hits the "wall" at different ages and when most students do begin to struggle, they often say, "well I'm just not good at" whichever subject they are struggling with. I do not believe this is true. I think that sometimes students struggle because each person thinks in a unique way and sometimes the conventional ways subject matter is taught is not compatible with one's thinking. With an undergraduate math and biology degree and while I am pursuing a PhD in Biomathematics, I do know that there are several ways to approach each type of problem; you just have to find what works for you. I am here to share the "tricks" and think outside of the box for those who struggle to understand subjects when taught in a conventional classroom setting. I have hands-on experience tutoring college and high school level math such as Algebra I&II and Calculus I,II& Multivariable Calculus. Through my thesis work I have published peer reviewed papers on statistical methods and have tutored countless students in Statistics. I also have experience teaching high school and college level Chemistry classes from when I was a Teaching Assistant in college. In this position I would run labs and hold lectures and study sessions rather than just observe and grade assignments. I also understand those who have a packed schedule and I have learned how to manage academics, work, athletics, and a social life successfully by pairing my heavy course load in college with teaching assistant positions and being a collegiate athlete. This also allows me to coach students on time management and organization.

I am a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Statistics with minors in Industrial Engineering and Mathematics. I specialize in math and data science, including but not limited to Algebra 1, Precalculus, Calculus, and Statistics, as well as the coding languages of R and SAS. My goal is to turn students into independent learners, and my tutoring approach is very procedural, though I am flexible and always willing to adapt to students' needs.I stand out from other college-age and college-level tutors because I come from a background of education. Before focusing on Statistics, I was studying Math Education, so I have extensive knowledge on current education pedagogy and practices. Furthermore, math and coding are two of the most challenging subjects for learners, and I aim to assist and uplift my students so they have both the confidence and skills necessary to succeed. Feel free to reach out if you have further questions, or if you want to schedule a lesson!
Current NCSU Engineering Student pursuing a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Nanoscience. I am driven by my balanced mindset, strong work ethic and creative hobbies. I am a well rounded student with a passion for STEM, helping others, and the performing arts. I am a senior student at North Carolina State University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. Before that, I attended Central Carolina Community College where I obtained two associate degrees; these being associate in science and associate in engineering. I am originally from Honduras and came to this country a few years ago pursuing a better life. Even though what I am pursuing at the university is not directly related to teaching, I love tutoring/teaching. Ever since I was in high school I would tutor all of my friends in all of the subjects they were struggling with. As it turned out, I am good at tutoring so I kept doing it to help my friends; I came to the conclusion that I am good at it because all the people I have tutored have said so but mostly because I compared how they would perform when I tutored them vs when other people tutored them, and my students would always do better when I tutor them. This kind of made me feel like, if I am really good at it and can help people do good and learn, then, I should. I tutor a variety of subjects going from Spanish to subjects in the sciences, math, and engineering. I do not have a set teaching style; I think every person learns in a different way, so as a tutor I am always trying to be flexible to teach in a way that is easiest for my students to learn and understand the material.
I am a North Carolina State University graduate with a degree in Biology and I am currently working on my masters in Comparative Biomedical Sciences. During my time as a student, I have focused on pursuing my goal of becoming a veterinarian and have developed a deep passion for science and medicine in the process. I am passionate about helping students discover scientific concepts for themselves and grow into independent, confident learners. As a graduate student, I worked as a teaching assistant for two college-level biology courses and specifically enjoy teaching cellular and molecular biology. I currently tutor high school and early college students looking to improve their understanding of scientific concepts. I love helping students set attainable goals for themselves and track their progress as they tackle skills and gain understanding of complex topics. Outside of the classroom, you can find me traveling the U.S. (and the world), spending time with friends and family, and running with my pup, Oliver. I'm excited to meet you and can't wait to help you reach your academic goals!

I am honored to be a part of anyone's journey, and I hope I can help you along!
Hello! I'm Erintrude, a recent graduate of Kenyon College and an MFA candidate at NCSU. I have two years of experience tutoring elementary level reading and writing for two different families, and miscellaneous tutoring experience in the fields of French, English and Test Prep (SAT and ACT). As a co-founder and head editor of a publishing press at my college, for a year and a half I have run workshops where I assigned contemporary literature, and taught these pieces to deepen reader's comprehension. Currently I am teaching a class of high schoolers in a summer program offered by the publishing press. I have experience with World Literature and translation studies as well. I'm passionate about language and I'm passionate about understanding. I tailor my teaching to the student, and in that sense we grow together in an environment of patience, support, and love for learning.
I have enjoyed teaching all my life. I have taught and coached swimming, Boy Scout skills, classes and small groups in church, college classes, and enrichment classes for home schoolers. I like tutoring one to one because of the flexibility it allows me to have in tailoring the tutoring to the individual needs of the student.
As a dedicated and passionate biologist with a Ph.D. in Integrative Biology from North Carolina State University, I have cultivated a deep understanding of environmental sciences through extensive research, teaching, and mentorship. Mentorship has been a cornerstone of my career, and I take pride in guiding undergraduate and high school students through their research projects. Seeing my mentees grow and succeed has been immensely rewarding and has reinforced my belief in the importance of education and mentorship in science. Currently, I am leveraging my expertise and experience in a tutoring role, where I continue to foster a love for learning and scientific inquiry in my students. My goal is to inspire the next generation of scientists by sharing my knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to the field of biology.
